Hello! My name is Ryan James.  Growing up in the ‘90’s, my dream was to draw comics. I wound up working in Set Lighting for the entertainment industry the last couple decades, but I never gave up with art, writing, books, or comics. In 2020, I rediscovered that this was what I’ve always wanted to do - write and DRAW comics!!! Octo Gone is based on a book I wrote while working the long, long hours on set. I was on NBC’s “Chuck” - my favorite job, and the hardest by far! Needless to say, this book was a long time in coming. This campaign will hopefully allow me to permanently establish myself as a comic book creator. Based on the success of this campaign, with your support, there will be 2 more installments in the Octo Gone storyline.

The book is 95% done, so there’s absolutely no risk. You WILL get your book, and you’ll get it in a timely manner - fulfilling this Summer! We hired an actual editor, Vaughn Coleman (Hunter Ninja Bear), so there won’t be any typos or giant plot holes. This is the first campaign from Octo Gone Comics. It is imperative for me to build and maintain my reputation as an artist and as a self-publisher. My goal is to continue to deliver quality books for decades to come.
