"Old Friends" Short Film Campaign

Synopsis:

"Old Friends" is the story of two very good friends who haven't seen each other in a long time. What starts as a hangout film with stoner-comedy elements turns into a drama about loss, longing, and grief, with some horror elements as well. 

• My name is Kenric Durst and I'm a filmmaker from Kentucky. I have a passion for genre bending projects that go outside of the norm of what's typically expected. 
• Me and some friends are planning to make a short film here in Louisville, Kentucky, where we live. It's a simple story about two friends reconnecting that would not be difficult to shoot, however, any money would be incredibly helpful to our cast and crew. I haven't directed a project in a few years since I was a film student, so I am very passionate and excited to be creating another film project with friends. 
• With your help we would be able to pay our crew for their hard work and time, as well as feed our crew good meals during the filming process that adhere to everyone's dietary restrictions. We would also be able to rent out the necessary lighting equipment we need from local lighting crew personnel, as well as much needed materials for our special effects crew when it comes to the practical creature effects that we will have on set. We would love to have a gnarly creature to look at and with your help this would be possible! 

Our goal and how you will help

• We're looking to raise around $3,000 but anything will be immensely helpful! This will mostly be going towards food and water for the cast and crew, equipment costs for lighting, and special effects materials for our practical creature! 
• If we don't reach our goal, the money will still be used for equipment and special effects costs, as well as helping feed our crew and paying them what we can for their time. 

In the end, if you contribute, you'll be helping to support local independent creators in Kentucky who are passionate about unique filmmaking and storytelling.
