After realizing that the movie he's watching is about him, Charlie must find a way to stop the screening.
Directed by John McGowan, On Screen is a Columbia College Chicago student production. The short film is being made as part of the location shoot project for the school's Directing II class.
By donating or even just spreading the word, you can help make this film a reality.
What will my donation go towards?
We've been fortunate enough to find locations that will not charge to film in their space, but there are plenty of other factors to account for.
- The largest expense of this production will be feeding the cast and crew. When shooting for 10 hours with a cast and crew of ~20 people, providing lunch and craft services is essential.
- Moving props, lighting and camera equipment through the city will require a truck rental.
- Another important factor is production design. Between putting together a convincing theater and theater lobby, props, and costumes, the PD team will need a budget.
- Lastly, things can and will go wrong on a production like this, so an amount of contingency money is always helpful.
Are there other ways I can help?
Yes! While every dollar counts, sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and social media can go a long way.
