I am happy to be offering the complete series for my All Ages comic book entitled PAKKINS' LAND OMNIBUS. This is the first time that PAKKINS' LAND has been collected in to one volume, with more than 515 pages.

Hello, welcome to the PAKKINS' LAND OMNIBUS Indiegogo campaign. My name is Gary Shipman, and I have been making art for more than 30 years working on comics, movies and other properties. I'm probably best known for my comic book series PAKKINS' LAND that was nominated for Eisner (1998), Harvey, and Russ Manning Awards (1997).

We've hit our $19K stretch goal, and we're so close to the summit of reaching our big $20K goal!

King Aryah has put out the call to the kingdom far and wide to ask if you can help us in reaching this grand milestone. My work has been published through Disney Publishing, Caliber Press, Image Comics, Alias Comics, Cryptozoic, Cider Mill Press, and Zondervan. 

I have been exploring different styles of art throughout my life, with no formal art training. My wife Rhoda and I have been married for 31 years and have 3 beautiful children.  Follow along as a series of strange events brings Paul to a fantastic world called "Pakkins' Land". There he meets a mysterious giant Eagle of light who gives him a feather as a token of friendship. At the touch of this feather, Paul knows it is something special, and as the Eagle mysteriously vanishes, Paul realizes that he is lost in this new world. Soon Paul is befriended by extraordinary talking animals, who set off together to find the long lost King Aryah, and try to return Paul to his own land. The pathway is not without danger, and thus begins the adventure of this ALL AGES story called Pakkins' Land. 

Now for the first time ever the complete PAKKINS' LAND comic series is offered in a large 11" x 8 Hard Cover size and a 9" x 6" Soft Cover, presented in it original Nori, black and white, includes a foreword by comic veteran JIM KRUEGER. When this campaign reaches its goal of 10K All Hard Cover backers will receive an exclusive wraparound dust jacket cover by artist Mike S. Miller. 

 This series has been something that is near and dear to me and my family for many years and I wish to share all the wonder, thrills, and adventure with all of you.  You are the biggest part of what I am doing, my expression in story and art mean nothing without your contribution. I do what I do for you.

 

What We Need & What You Get

My goal is to provide a quality product for you and I hope that you are as excited about this campaign as I am. We need enough for the printing, distribution, and fees to create the PAKKINS' LAND OMNIBUS. Anything beyond that will help to make it possible for me to focus on creating new story and art for the future issues of my Pakkins' Land comic book series.
