Founding of Percepto

Team Percepto was founded after a ski trip to the Alps, when Dor Abuhasira, an electrical engineer at ECI and getting a Masters in Computer Vision, and his best friend Raviv Raz, who previously worked at one of the world's largest drone manufacturers, understood that their ski drone + GoPro footage would be of much higher quality if the drone could navigate and film autonomously.
So they quickly brought on Sagi Blonder, also working on his Masters in Computer Vision, to complete the core team and build “brains” and “sight” for drones.

Risk And Challenges
We've prepared at length for post-campaign manufacturing and delivery costs and set timelines, though it's always a startup's challenge to take a new hardware product to scale.
We aim for complete accuracy when combining mass manufacturing and our core technology.
We promise to be transparent throughout the process and preemptively want to let you know that there could be bumps along the way especially with assembly time and availability which could affect our delivery timeline.
When we ship, we will take into account that our shipping partners take great care in getting you your Percepto out of the box perfect condition.

FAQ
Which drones will Percepto connect with?
We’ve already tested Percepto with 3DR Pixhawk and DJI Naza controllers, so, every drone that uses one of these controllers is compatible, but basically, you can connect it to every drone that has a PPM input in its flight controller. Also, the drone can’t be too small, as it has to carry Percepto, which will weigh around 5 ounces (140 grams).

How hard is it to install?
Very simple, easy as any other add-on
Is it crash proof?
Percepto is very durable, if your drone survives the crash – so will Percepto

Our product is ready for the market. We cannot over emphasize just how important this community is to us, we would not launch if we weren't confident of our success
