“PPCB Maker” is a desktop and portable suitcase to make prototype electronic boards.

The “PPCB Maker” suitcase has 2 side exposing UV lamps located up and down in the suitcase.The “PPCB Maker” can handle: lithography film, plasticrice paper, transparency film for laser or inkjet printer, polymer film . A “PPCB Maker” uses a vacuum air pump to make the absolutely perfect contact between the film and the copper board, as well as between the film and the silk screen mesh.

The “PPCB Maker” suitcase has a versatile use, it can expose 1 or 2 side photosensitive copper boards.

It can expose the silkscreen mesh, it can expose and dry the UV soldering & UV curable mask. The “PPCB Maker” can receive  full A4 size 210mm x 297mm copper boards, photosensitive copper boards and silkscreen frames.

The silkscreen can print the most thin electronic circuits, and it can moreover print the  soldering mask, and the UV curable mask for finishing protection.

   

The etching tank uses bubbles and motion when removing the unused copper from the Electronic Circuit Boards. It can use ferrous chloride, or hydrochloric acid with hydrogen peroxide + water in proportion 3:3:15 .

The whole and complete process is being shown in a video, photos and operation instructions for the users are available as a DVD in perks.

3 Ways how to use “PPCB Maker”

1) Exposition of 1 or 2 side photosensitive copper inside the “PPCB Maker”.

2) Exposition of the silk screen photosensitive mesh frame .

3) Exposition of the soldering mask and of the UV curable mask for drying them.

The funds collected from this campaign will be used for:

Production finishing. We make extensive testings in our prototypes, we have  some engineering and electrical modifications which can refine the external shape of the “PPCB Maker”.

The additional components  :  Interior modification, the silk screen frame and etching tank  of the “PPCB Maker” will require a modification of the dimensions.

Technical materials: such as the mesh, the  most appropriate  UV lamps, the electronic starter for the UV lamps.

The “PPCB Maker” suitcase inside has a complex modification that will ensure the “PPCB Maker” custom components can be mass produced in the highest possible quality.

Raw Materials– The “PPCB Maker” also uses raw materials like UV inks for curing mask and stencil mask, photosensitive paste, films and transparency paper, etc.  Since these are high quality components, we will test them before final the release, and we will purchase larger quantities to keep our prices low for customers.

Final assembly – The last step in production is the large scale assembly for all custom components, the assembly of all custom components can be made by the Social Cooperative Enterprise named “Prometheus” .

Shipping – “PPCB Maker” fulfillment team from “Prometheus” SCE  can  organize and handle the mass shipment of thousands of orders worldwide. For the shipping we cooperate with DHL International.

Some issues concerning the tests before releasing the product. Such one is the most suitable UV curable ink, the most suitable soldering mask paste , also we need to extent  testing of the silkscreen mesh for printing extra light line circuits and soldering pate, We need to solve the topology of any parts inside “PPCB Maker” suitcase for ergonomic and more useful use. Multilayer with UV materials and conductive materials is for extended feature, also printing graphene ink for plastic sensors

According with milestones we are going to solve the above problems in the first 4 months June – September 2015.
