My name is Alex Wice, and I want to reward deserving players by continuing the Prismata Cup: the strongest field Hearthstone tournament ever.

Until now, Hearthstone tournaments have been mostly invitationals with poor mobility for strong ladder and tournament players. I'm looking to change that.

The first Prismata Cup was already a resounding success and, at the time, the strongest field Hearthstone tournament to take place.

With your support, we can build on that success.

This campaign is important to me because I care about Hearthstone and E-sports.  Prismata [the game] sponsors this cup, but the tournament can't survive forever under this umbrella. Soon it won't be worth it, and the Prismata Cup will be shut down.

If you want a monthly major tournament with all the best Hearthstone players, and with open standards for who should qualify, you should support this event.

Your contribution goes 100% to the prizepool for the players, the casters, and the production.  I don't take a penny.

How is my money used?

For this tournament, we went with the bare minimum:

  • $2000 prizepool - just enough to attract almost all the best players

  • More than $1000 on casters and production.

The bare minimum budget that we need to stay afloat is $3000.  An artist friend and I both work for free on producing overlays and directing the tournament, respectively.

To make this tournament monthly (or bi-monthly), we'll need a steady stream of money from somewhere.  If we raise more money than that, then we’ll make the tournament even more awesome.

Why make Prismata Cup a regular tournament?

I believe Hearthstone sorely needs a regular tournament akin to Magic the Gathering's "Pro Tour" that celebrates the best players in the game (both familiar and unfamiliar) and give them exposure.

The Prismata Cup showcases the best Hearthstone play, which is exciting for viewers. It is also the tournament with the most open standards, with more than 90% of the players chosen from open standards published a month before the tournament.  We are looking to solidify these standards so that the tournament can be seen as the most legitimate, instead of just having the most popular players.

Are you capable of organizing such a tournament?

I've already delivered on Prismata Cup 1, and Prismata Cup 2 is well on its way.  Your donation will be used only to pay for future Prismata Cups, and I'm committed to regularly producing the best Hearthstone tournament ever.

I promise that 100% of the money will be used for producing the best content possible, no matter what. Thank you for your support and donation.
