WHAT IS A FANCHISE?
fan·chise /ˈfanˌCHīz/
noun
a professional sports team that provides its fans unparalleled
control of, and access to, their sports entertainment experience;
especially: the right to exercise the powers of a General Manager and
Coach.
IS THIS A REAL TEAM IN A REAL LEAGUE?
YES! This is a real team in the Indoor Football League (IFL). You
remember a guy by the name of Kurt Warner? This is the same league his
team, the Iowa Barnstormers, is in. Think about it…one of the greatest
QBs in NFL history played on a team in this league. That’s as real as it
gets.
ARE ANY OF THE OTHER TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE RUN BY THE FANS?
NO. The Project FANchise team is the first fan-run professional team
in the history of sports. So when we say join us and make history, we
mean it. This is uncharted territory for everyone involved.
WHAT DO I GET TO VOTE ON?
The short answer… everything. You will choose the GM and coaching
staff. You will scout and evaluate players and decide who makes the
roster. You will choose the team name and team colors. You will design
the logo and mascot. And best of all, you will call all the plays in
real time! We really mean it, this is your team.
WILL MY VOTE ACTUALLY COUNT?
Absolutely. Everyone’s vote will count. We are building an app that
will allow you to prove (and improve) your football knowledge. Everyone
will start out as a rookie with the same influence on the team. As you
increase your FanIQ (football knowledge) your voting power will
increase.
WHO ARE YOU GUYS? CAN I TRUST YOU?
We are a group of former NFL players and front office vets,
successful technology entrepreneurs, and investors that all believe fans
deserve more than a “thank you” during a press conference. Feel free to

IS THIS A FOOTBALL TEAM OR A TECHNOLOGY COMPANY?
BOTH! Project FANchise is actually two separate, distinct companies.
The first, Project FANchise Technology, is focused on building a mobile
technology platform to allow fans to run a real football team. The
second, Project FANchise Team, is focused on building a world-class
football organization that will look exactly like other IFL and even NFL
organizations except that fans (like you!) will be making all the
important decisions, while the people in the front office and on the
field go out and execute exactly what the fans want.
WHY SHOULD I BACK THIS CAMPAIGN?
You mean aside from the fact that it's the greatest thing that's ever
happened to sports? The fans that join now will be rewarded with more
influence (voting power) on all team decisions. Everyone’s vote will
count, but voting power will be based on a number of factors including
how much you participate, your football knowledge, and the length of
time you’ve been involved. The fans that join early and spend the time
to help build and shape the team will be the leaders of a new type of
fan…fans whose voice actually counts. #PowerToTheFANS
I WANT TO PLAY ON THE TEAM. HOW CAN I TRY OUT?
Back this campaign to secure yourself a tryout plus get early access
to the app so you can vote for yourself to make the team. We will be
holding a minimum of four tryouts across the country so unless you are
from Finland there will be one close enough for you to drive. Just
remember the fans are going to be making the final decision on every
roster spot, so your personality off the field is going to be just as
important as your skills on it.
