THE SHOW
Raise The Bar is a fresh and new show about the art of cocktail making.
There is nothing like this out there and we want to change that. Unlike other shows, we will not be baking cakes or cooking fancy dishes. Just making drinks, tasty ones at that. This show will have a cool and professional vibe as we focus on the skill and creativity needed to be the best behind the bar!
Renaissance Vodka are pleased to support and sponsor the project. Alongside providing our vodka, Renaissance mixologist Antonio Del Monte will proffer consultancy for the show.
We're a small group of Film Production students, hoping to get this show off it's feet and out there for you to see!
SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE ASKING FOR?
As you've seen in the video, we've secured a high quality Tv Studio to film in with 4K cameras and crew. We're also collaborating with interior designers to create a set for the show. We need your donation to help pay for:
- Materials for the set
- Cast - some top notch bartenders
- Presenter- someone who can keep the spirits up and conversation flowing from contestants
- Travel- trains, planes, automobiles for cast and crew
- Catering- food, glorious food
- Props- Cocktail equipment isn't cheap. We need glasses, shakers, measures, everything needed to make a decent drink
- Ingredients- mixers, spirits, garnishes. We have 2 contestants and 3 challenges, each one will need a table full of ingredients and don't forget rehearsals
But it's not like you won't get anything in return. Have a browse through the rewards, from badges to shot glasses. As a thank you for the donation we want to give you something for your generosity.
WHAT YOUR HELP CAN DO
Cocktail making is moving into the mainstream. People are becoming more interested in mixology than ever before and we want to be a part of the movement. There isn't anything like this out there and we want to be the first. By donating, you're helping us get that one step closer to making a high quality show that can possibly become something huge.
CHALLENGES WE FACE
As it's a Tv Studio, we will be editing live through a vision mixer. This means that on the day it has to be perfect without any hiccups. The show itself will be 30 minutes in the studio. In post we will trim it down to be 15 with VT inserts and transitions to keep it interesting. All the crew are highly trained in the studio. To make sure we'll be in best shape on the day, we'll be rehearsing regularly, filming practices and mini challenges. Each rehearsal will be posted on our social media so you can see how we're getting on with things.
WHAT IF YOU DON'T HAVE MONEY BUT STILL WANT TO HELP?
We've got pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. If you can't donate a simple share of the pages and post will help us reach more people and share our idea. Look out for regular videos and photography by our team to give an idea of what we're doing and the shows style.
