Why we need your help?
Thankfully costs will be kept down by a small amount of in-kind support we have received from friends, for example some have offered discounted equipment and post production accessibility. However this won't be enough. We're still in desperate need of funds for various things the film can't exist without:
-Catering (we need to feed around 20 cast and crew for 2 days!).
-Travel expenses.
-Essential equipment hire (camera, lenses, sound kit).
-A small fee for the (already hugely generous and discounted) cast and crew.
-Art department (so that the costumes and sets look the part).
-Location fee.
We know £3,000 sounds like a lot, but even once we've begged and borrowed half the production, these essential things add up. We really can't emphasise enough how reliant the nuts and bolts of the film are on your support.
What you are doing by supporting the project?
You will be doing three key things by supporting this project:
[1] Helping tell an important story about an underrepresented corner of society.
[2] Investing in a diverse cast and crew and ensuring that the BAME community of talent are being given equal opportunities.
[3] Funding will enable us to use the short film as a way of engaging audiences and facilitating discussions which take place between Ex prisoners and the Met police.
If you've got this far, thank you so much for reading.
We're really excited to be bringing Relapse into existence but simply can't reiterate enough how it won't happen without your generosity and support.
Even if you can't contribute anything right now, please do share this page if you feel it's a worthwhile project. Tell your friends, like our Facebook page, and let's make some noise about the film and its subject matter.
Thank you
Karl, Ambreen and the rest of the relapse team. xx
