"Providing environments where children and adults with developmental disabilities and autism live, work, and play in their community."

In 1980, Smithwright was founded on the philosophy of "Fostering Human Potential." During our over 30 years of service, the goal of this agency has been to provide a safe, structured living environment for our developmentally disabled clients, while at the same time promoting a positive atmosphere which fosters personal independence, a sense of meaning and purpose and a true understanding of self-worth.

The Staff and Board of Directors are also committed to the valued outcome of community integration.

To accomplish this, we seek to provide multiple opportunities for our clients to interact with neighbors and businesses in our community.

The need for a van is crucial to help the kids and adults get out and experience these opportunities in the communities. Right now, employees use their own cars, and can't truly enjoy many things as a group.

Your contributions will be used help enhance the quality of life for so many of our family!
