Story of My Book
Rise is about how you can make the best out of the experiences that you have experienced in order to have a life worth living. No matter where you come from, it is important to understand that you are unique, and your uniqueness should be an asset when you walk into a room full of people that are different than you.
My name is Nia Rainer and I am the author of Rise. I wrote this book because I wanted to show people the importance of believing in yourself, regardless of what the world may tell you. In a world where there is always a standard to live by, it is important that you stay true to who you are and appreciate the experiences, stories, and memories that make you the best person that you can be. It does not matter where you come from or the experiences that made you believe that you were not enough. What matters is that you have potential, regardless of how unorthodox your background may be.
My hope is that, in reading this book, you will discover your inner badass. I want you to see this book as an opportunity to discover the power of resilience, persistence, and believing in yourself.
FOR ALL:
You will love this book if you have struggled with the challenges that come with being a part of an underrepresented group, want to improve on your leadership skills, or want to. try something new in your life.
Rise speaks to underrepresented groups and potential leaders who want to learn to persist and believe in themselves in a new way.
Ultimately, I hope that Rise inspires reflection and fruitful dialogue, pressing into engaging questions like:
How can I value my uniqueness?
How can I give back to my community?
How do I thrive in a world that always wants to tell me no?
I look forward to exploring these questions and beyond with my readers. I believe discovering the power of resilience, persistence, and believing in ourselves will change us all for the better.

Risks & Challenges
The biggest challenge with publishing a book is delivering the finished book to the backer, specifically my mailing of the book to you. I have eliminated this risk by including the cost of mailing and shipping the signed copies into each pre-order tier.
The risk of delivering the pre-sale copies of my book is contingent on the publisher we use. I will be working closely with New Degree Press to make sure we ship the pre-order rewards to you as early as possible. We will keep all pre-sale backers up-to-date as to when my book will publish. You will know when the copies of my book you pre-ordered are expected to ship.
