During the course of 5 years, Sean has been medicating with cannabis for pain in his jaw, depression, and PTSD, and has struggled to find a doctor in Canada who would look at his case, and prescribe him cannabis for his ailments. It wasn't until just recently, when it took an inappropriate arrest to happen by the Saskatchewan police, derived from a neighbour complaint based on the smell of "weed" coming from his residence, that a doctor decided to help him. It took his arrest to get him a prescription he needed years ago, in Canada.
On July 22, Sean's roommate at the time, was home when the police (not RCMP), showed up, and called Sean as he was out running errands. 6 police officers with NO signed warrant, arrested Sean and his roommate outside of their house and invaded their home regardless of having any paperwork in place. They didn't see the warrant until after they were released, and they remained in jail over a period of five days, separated. Upon the search of the residence, the police only discovered cannabis residual items, along with items Sean used to medicate daily. His roommate did not have anything to do with Sean's case, so we built a separate account here to help fund Sean's lawyer. We need to raise $12,000.00 CAD and we need your help! Cannabis prohibition still doesn't work, and patients should not be victims to the law! Please help Sean today!
