Searching New Skies is a dream and an ancient drama that has
experienced the men since the beginning of time: the inevitable need to love
even at the cost of his own personal sacrifice, and the phenomenon of human
mobility that marked our species from the African savannas million years ago to
the present days, obliged many times, by the urgency to seek a better future
for themselves and their families.
This film is not only about love, dreams and struggles but
also intolerance, rejection and revenge. Searching New Skies is a song, an ode
to love and courage that overcomes the nostalgia and cultural barriers to keep
on going against all odds.
En Busca de
Nuevos Cielos es un sueño y un drama antiguo que han experimentado los hombres
desde el principio de los tiempos: la inevitable necesidad de dar y recibir
amor incluso a costa de su propio sacrificio personal, y el fenómeno de la

THE STORY OF SEARCHING NEW SKIES

This film was born from the movie screenplay adaptation of
the short story "The Immigrant" by Daniel Walter Lencinas, which is
part of his latest book titled "Perceptions", a collection of twelve
short stories.
The screenplay was written jointly by the Director of this
film, Daniel Lencinas, and Producer of the same, Julio Frómeta. Some new
characters were incorporated to the play, which are not listed in the original
story. New rising actions were created which are different from the original
literary source.
The result is three separated stories but connected by a
main thread that causes each of them to be part of the other two stories.
Esta
película nació de la adaptación a guion cinematográfico del cuento corto
"El inmigrante" de Daniel Walter Lencinas, el cual es parte de su
último libro titulado "Percepciones", una colección de doce cuentos
cortos.
El guion
fue escrito conjuntamente por el Director de esta película, Daniel Lencinas y
el Productor de la misma, Julio Frómeta.
Algunos
nuevos personajes, que no figuraban en la historia original, fueron
incorporados a la obra. Se crearon nuevos nudos de tensión diferentes de la
fuente literaria original. El resultado son tres historias separadas pero
conectadas por un hilo conductor que hace que cada una de ellas forme parte de
las otras dos.

He got his International Relations BA at the University of Congress in Mendoza, Argentina. He studied six years in the Seminary of the Archdiocese of Mendoza of the Catholic Church for Permanent Deacons where he specialized in Youth Ministry and Pastoral Migration. It also has a technical degree in Civil Construction.
Daniel Lencinas is a writer born in Mendoza, Argentina where he has published several books. Author of story lines for plays and musicals, in his youth took courses in film, video and photography.
He has directed plays in his hometown, and made script adaptations for TV.
In the United States, he was Editor-in-Chief of the New America Long Island newspaper, he was a columnist for Culture and Entertainment for several newspapers. He has taught courses on techniques and languages of visual arts.
He is an Editor of the newspaper Long Island Al Día and member of the Founding Committee SIPEA USA (International Society of Poets, Writers and Artists - Subsidiary USA - institution affiliate to the World Academy of Arts and Culture.
He is a member of ILCH USA (Literary and Cultural Institute Hispanic - Filial USA), entity that included in its official publication, Alba of America 2014, the short story "The Immigrant" on which this film is based.
He is a member of the Department of Theater at ACE (Association of Entertainment Critics of New York), an institution of forty-eight years old, that annually gives the "ACE Awards" for outstanding work in Hispanic theater, radio, film and television.

Estudió Licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales en la Universidad de Congreso, en Mendoza, Argentina. Tiene además una tecnicatura en Construcciones Civiles.
Daniel Lencinas es un escritor nacido en Mendoza, Argentina donde ha publicado diversos libros. Autor de líneas argumentales para obras de teatro y musicales, en su juventud hizo cursos de cine, video y fotografía.
Ha dirigido obras de teatro en su ciudad de origen, y realizado adaptación de guiones para televisión.
En Estados Unidos fue Jefe de Redacción del periódico Nueva América de Long Island y columnista de cultura y espectáculos para diversos periódicos. Ha dictado cursos sobre técnicas y lenguajes de las artes audiovisuales.
Es Editor del Periódico Long Island Al Día y miembro de la Comisión Fundadora de SIPEA USA (Sociedad Internacional de Poetas Escritores y Artistas – Filial USA – ) entidad afiliada a la World Academy of Arts and Culture.
Es miembro de ILCH USA (Instituto Literario y Cultural Hispánico – Filial USA) entidad que incluyó en su publicación oficial Alba de América 2014 el cuento “El Inmigrante” sobre el que está basado este cortometraje.

He studied Marketing at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo(UASD), in Dominican Republic.
As a film critic specialist, he has written in various publications and newspapers in New York and Dominican Republic. As is on the online newspaper Long Island Al Día which is one of its editors, in Sexy Glam Magazine among others.
He is a member of the Department of Theater and Film at ACE (Association of Entertainment Critics of New York), an institution of forty-eight years old, that annually gives the "ACE Awards" for outstanding work in Hispanic theater, radio, film and television.

An Argentinian Bandoneon player, arranger and composer.
He studied with Jorge Puebla and Alberto Hilario Iribarne on bandoneon, continuing his studies in piano with the Masters Monica Rizzo and Roberto Urbay in the Faculty of Arts at the National University of Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina.
Dedicated to play tango, he joined the Mancifesta Orchestras and Tango & Punto, before he cofounded the Bandó Quintet, with whom he made important tours to Washington, Chicago and New York.
Under the auspices of the Astor Piazzolla Foundation, in 2003, he directed the masterpiece of Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer, "Maria de Buenos Aires".

Radicado desde el año 2014 en Estados Unidos, se ha presentado como solista junto a la Panamerican Synphony Orchestra en exigentes escenarios como el Lincoln Center for Performing Arts y el Lisner Auditorium de la Universidad George Washington, asi como en la Organización de los Estados Americanos.
En Nueva York ha integrado prestigiosas orquestas con las que ha realizado presentaciones el Lincoln Center y el Carnegie Hall.

LENCINAS - STILL PHOTOGRAPHY -
Photographer Lucy Lencinas was born in Colombia and studied psychology at Queens College, in New York.
She went on to receive her Associate Degree in Photography from Briarcliffe College, graduating with honors Magna Cum Laude.
Her photography has been exhibited at the Brentwood Public Library, the Art Space Building State Department of Motor Vehicles in Hauppauge, at Hempstead Town Hall, and at the Hispanic Heritage Festival of Brentwood.
She had also exhibited her work at the main art center in Quindío in Colombia, called "Small Square Centennial", being the only artist whose exhibition remained for two months.
Her latest photographic exhibition, "Doors of Italy and Natives of my Home Land" was made possible thanks to Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and legislator Phil Ramos on behalf of the Legislative Assembly of New York.
Professor Emeritus Ernesto Kahan, who received the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize by the organization he founded "International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War-IPPNW," was present at the exhibition.
Lucy Lencinas has also had work chosen for the international exhibition touring "A Book about Death", which is a tribute to the artist Ray Johnson.
The exhibition began in New York and traveled to Washington D.C., Paris, Rome, London and other cities in Europe.
She has received recognition and honors from the mayors of Nassau and Suffolk counties in New York, from the mayor of the city of Armenia in Colombia, from the Legislature of Quindío, from the Congressional Legislature of the State of New York, and from the Central Government of Colombia through the General Consulate of that Country in New York for her artistic work and its contribution to culture.

Uno de los trabajos de Lucy Lencinas fue elegido para la exposición internacional itinerante "Un libro sobre la muerte", que es un homenaje al artista Ray Johnson. La exposición comenzó en Nueva York y ha viajado por Washington DC, París, Roma, Londres y otras ciudades de Europa.

STEPHEN
VALLE - SOUND ENGINEER -
Stephen's interest in recording began at the age of 13.
Influenced while being raised in an Hispanic household where he was constantly surrounded by different cultures of music, he eventually gravitated towards experimenting with sounds and recordings of his own.
Owning over 1,000+ records that he produced, he decided to build his own Pre-Production Studio on his backyard.
Given his ability to record and produce at his own rate, he began gaining clientele and experience on producing and editing. Had recorded and engineered over 100 records, which can be heard on SoundCloud and iTunes.
While networking with his clients, Stephen received the opportunity to work on the set of two music videos, one being with a local artist and the other with a well known hip-hop artist Sheek Louch from the group The Lox.
Stephen plans to use this experience to continue and expand his knowledge within the audio-recording industry and future projects.
El interés de Stephen en la grabación comenzó a la edad de 13 años.
Influenciado mientras era criado en un hogar hispano, donde fue rodeado constantemente por diferentes culturas musicales, finalmente se inclinó por la experimentación con sonidos y grabaciones propias.
Es propietario de más de 1.000 registros que él mismo produjo, por lo que decidió construir su propio Estudio de Pre Producción en su casa de Long Island, NY.
Dada la posibilidad de grabar y producir a su propio ritmo, comenzó ganando clientela y experiencia produciendo, editando.

Born in Argentina and since she came to New York she had been working with music and children as a band coach.
She studied acting at IELI, Hunter College.
Back in Argentina, while studying marketing, she assisted with the process of making short movies and documentaries.
At the present, she is starting a music business and her own music project.

en Argentina y desde que llegó a Nueva York había estado trabajando con la música
y los niños como entrenadora de bandas musicales.
