Short Summary of the Team
The Pebbles curling team was founded in December 2013 and was initially made up of three members:
Ana-Maria Săracu, Bianca Neagoe, Daiana Colceriu. Playing as a team, the three girls won their first Romanian National Women's Curling Championship in 2014. The need for a fourth player was fulfilled by adding Alina Cristina Marin to the team. In 2015, they have won together their second Romanian National Women's Curling Championship.
Ana-Maria Săracu started playing curling in 2013, at the age of 24 and she has participated in the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Canada in 2013 and in the Women Europeans Championship - C League in 2014.
Bianca Neagoe started playing curling in 2011, at the age of 25 and she participated in the Women Europeans Championship - C League in 2011, 2012, 2014.
Daiana Colceriu started playing curling in the year 2010, at the age of 28, and since then she has participated in the European Mixt Championship (2011), the World Mixed Doubles (2012) and the Women Europeans C League (2011, 2012, 2014).
Alina Cristina Marin started playing curling in the year 2013, at the age of 19 and she has reached the semifinals at SSS Curling Championship in Glasgow and participated in the Women Europeans Championship - C League in 2014.
Besides being the members of the National Curling Team, Ana-Maria Săracu is a Business Analyst and Tester at SmartSoft Romania, Daiana Colceriu is a Kindergarten Owner, Bianca Neagoe is a Content Creator and Social Media Specialist, Alina Cristina Marin is a Neuroscience Student at Glasgow University.
The four Pebbles will represent Romania at the European Curling Championship C Group, for the second time together. This year they will compete against 6 other teams: Belarus, Croatia, France, Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. The European Championship – League C will take place in Champery, Switzerland between the 12th and 17th of October 2015:
