Why Get a Booth?

Theology of Games has brought (in our opinion) great quality content to the gaming industry for nearly 6 years, however quality content is just the beginning of finding success as a content creator:

• Not familiar with Theology of Games? Check us out at TheologyofGames.com. We publish written articles on the boardgaming industry; news, reviews, and interviews. We also produce three (yes, THREE!) podcasts: The Theology of Games Podcast (monthly), That's How I Roll (weekly) and Boardgames FM (DAILY!). And we recently rebooted our YouTube Channel with our Take-Two Reviews!
• Our campaign on Indiegogo is a launching point for us to go from hobby to profession. Having a physical presence at one of the largest conventions in North America not only helps us strengthen our relationship with our loyal fanbase, but an opportunity to connect with thousands of potential new fans. The funds raised here will be used to defray the costs of: booth registration fees, booth displays, hotel accommodations for booth workers, written promotional materials, onsite advertisement, new gear to help us live stream via Facebook, YouTube and more, contest prizes and more!

Suffice to say, we have big plans for Origins 2018, and we simply can't achieve these goals without you!

What We Need & What You Get

We're not only appealing to our fans, friends, and family but to our existing friends within the gaming community:

• We're look to raise $3,000 to pull this off the way we envision it.
• The break down of our costs goes something like this:
• We've secured an entrepreneurial booth registration for $450
• A room for us to stay in will be approx. $1,000
• Booth decor (still gathering quotes) approx. $400
• Promotional materials (Stickers, flyers, handouts, T-Shirts, etc.) approx. $500
• If we go over our set goal we are looking into some new gear to help us live stream from the exhibit hall floor.
• For personal backers we have some great TOG branded rewards
• We've already registered for our booth! This is happening whether we hit our goal for funding or not, Your support helps us have a great and successful convention and produce quality content while we're there!

Risks & Challenges

• As always with crowdfunding campaigns it's easy to question what your money will be used for, we hope we've been honest and upfront with you in our description and with the rewards we're offering.
• The biggest challenge will be if we way under fund. We have to book a hotel, order booth gear, etc. While every dollar helps, if we don't hit our goal we'll have to do a bit of scrambling to make things happen at the level we aspire to.
• As we said in our video, we aren't going anywhere, we've got our booth space, and we'll be at Origins. The level of funding we raise through our campaign will determine (to some degree) how well we are able to execute our plans for Origins!

Other Ways You Can Help

We totally get it! Not all of you can toss a coin in the cup, no pressure! But if you want to help us there are plenty of ways to do that:

• Social media, social media, social media! Your "likes" and "shares" and posts about our campaign help us go viral, and deliver the message to folks who might be interested in helping out.

• Continue reading our blog, watching our videos, and listening to our podcasts! The more we keep our numbers up the easier we are to find, which again helps folks who might want to help out.
