Since the game is still under development, we wouldn’t let your hunger torment you. So we made a free appetizer, allowing you to experience the concept in 2D, since there is no other substitute game out there. This is far from the real game and it doesn't have all the features as the real game, but it will give you an idea of what its like.

We know that there are many limitations when it comes to building a setup. That’s exactly why we created setup simulator. We want to give you the freedom to build setup you’ve ever thought about. Here money and physics restrictions is no problem. We try our best to replicate real life, This means you can move around in the room & see your setup evolving up close. Building the setup feels just like in real life, where you grab your item & place it anywhere in the room. You can also toggle free placement, which allows you to place anything anywhere. We allow you to build your ultimate setup, with real life brands.

Wires are the thing that many people often overlook, but we don’t. We implemented a simple system with 3 types of wires: USB, display port & power outlet.

That perfect setup also needs a classy computer. We’ve made it possible to build your computer from the bottom. Bring each part to the computer & start building. We don’t want people creative ideas to be restricted when they build their computer. It works like in real life. You can boot your computer without having having all case parts equiped. This also gives you more freedom to fit larger parts in smaller cases. Cable management plays a large role when it comes to the final touch of a pc. So we made it possible to have an influence on the cable management by choosing specific point where curtain wires should go. We hope to see some crazy builds from you guys!
It doesn’t stop here… We want you, the player to experience the computers performance, not only by vision, but also by hearing it. If you made a mistake you’ll quickly hear the computer struggling to complete task, but if you did well you can enjoy the silence of your sweet build. The sound of the computer depends on: airflow, fan quality and the parts in the computer.

To effectively simulate computers performance, we implemented boot time, which depends on the computers power. When you boot your computer, you will start with only an internet browser. With this browser you can do a lot of things:
- Shop for items
- Receive jobs & earn money
- Download applications
We have 4 applications to choose download. A software that lets you control the light in your setup. An overclocking software that let’s you max out your computers performance(be careful, you don’t want to toast your computer). A benchmark application, that can take your computer to the test. Not only can you benchmark test your computer, but you can also play a minigame, containing insights on your computer performance like fps and so on…

Aproximately 5 years ago, i bought sims 4. In there i would build the gaming rooms of my dreams. I got the idea of making a game about creating theese rooms, but that quickly fell apart, since the onlyu thing i could codeback then, was a small game on scratch. 3 Years later i was taking my coding very serously & 1 year later i started teaching programming.Back then I've had been working on multiple team projects & that've teatched me a lesson or two. So now i finally felt like i was ready. So i hit up a guy i've been working on projects with before & told him about the idea. He loved it, so we immidietly planned out the game & in november of 2019, the development begun. It didn't take long before the core systems of the gamer was working.
Weeks of everyday programming passed by...
Then in may 2020, Jon told me he couldn't continue on the project. This was due to some personal resons. I was pretty upset, but i didn't want to stop the development of my dream game. So with all my savings i hired Leo as a permanent artist & the game quickly started looking much better. Then i hired a couple of different programmers to temporarely take over Jons role. Now the game started to look and work better than ever. Tho my savings where not big enough to continue for too long, especially because i quit my job for the project.

I'm paying for the entiere project out of my own pocket. But the salary for 1 permanant artist & 1-3 freelancers are not affordable on the long run, with this budget. This game requires a bigger budget to finsh. Without the help, we sadly can't afford to finish this game.
But we building up a community, a community we believe in and that also believs in us. If you want the game to become reality, we strongly urge you to help us & become a part of the community from the beginning of the devlopment. You are the creators of setup simulator.

We understand that this game is a huge project and we are still far from done. We also want the game to look good, but at the same time also be playble on low performance pc's.
This is not my first project, therefor i have a good feeling of what it will require & how we will work towards thew finished game. Unity is my sweet spot, i know it inside out. I even teach unity. This gives me a huge advantage in being quick and efficiant.
We've been working on the game for 10 months so far and that gives us a good perspective on what it will take to finish the entire picture. We've been working with many different influencers, so we have a good idea of which people we want, for when we complete the game. Last but not least, we've digged very far into what itr takes to make a good looking game which is still playable on low perfomance pc's. We stumped over the CTAA v2 antialiasing package, which makes the games light & reflections look much better, especially when rbg lighting is such big part of this game. This asset can be turned of in the settings, for people with less powerfull computers. Another asset that playes a big role in this game is Amplify Impostors. This asset allows us to have more high quility objects in the game, without using too much of the gpu. But in generel we are doing all we can to uptimze the games perfomance, so that all thoose advanced objects can be rendered in realtime while playing.
But the bigfgest challange is to get the budget to pay the freelancers, so we can finish the game. Thats why we need you, to help us make this setup simulator a reality.
