From the creators of 'Baron Von Laugho's Halloween Spook-A-Thon!', comes "Sharp Candy", a new Halloween anthology series inspired by various 80s and 90s horror anthology novels.

STORY

"Sharp Candy" is a throwback to 80s/90s horror novels and the first season will consist of four short horror stories intertwining to tell a much grander one during one Halloween night. The series will feature some previous characters from our work such as Baron Von Laugho and Mr. Karver as well as some fresh faces and creatures, but will standalone as it's own story and series.

FUNDING

Now as we said earlier, the first season is ALMOST DONE!

That's right. Music. Editing. Filming. Blu Rays. T-Shirts. All of it. Will be finished by the end of August. And it will come out on Amazon Prime free for subscribers come Oct. 15, 2019 as will Blu Rays/DVDs of the complete first season.

So why are we looking for funding?

It's simple. We are wanting to enter the series and particular episodes into film festivals as well as turn out some awesome merchandise in time for the Halloween season such as T-Shirts and Pins. And for any filmmakers out there, you know how much those film festival fees can be. 

So with your help we are hoping we can take some of the pressure off our shoulders so that we can enjoy it if indeed one of the episodes or the entire series actually goes to a festival.

Our priorities with funding are as follows:

1) Festival Submission Fees ($500) 

2) Producing cool Sharp Candy Merchandise ($300)

All in all we are asking $800. If we generate more, then that would allow us to submit to even more festivals and possibly allow us to fund a season 2 (but we will cross that bridge if we get there.)

Right now we are focused on making some cool collectibles to go along with our series and submit to as many film festivals as we can so that Sharp Candy can reach as many horror fans as possible.

Now why would anyone want to contribute to a project that is already completed? 

Well while yes, the filming is done and the project is completed. We are not done. In a world where EVERYONE is filming and making movies, we would like to stand out. Be recognized. And with your help that will help our project reach a large audience within the indie horror community. PLUS every contribution comes with a thank you in the form of one or several cool gifts. 

Risks & Challenges

Making a series or a movie, whether you have a ton of money or no money, is a lot of work and most days you are so stressed out you ask yourself over and over "Why did I sign up for this?!" But then a day comes along when you see an actor deliver their amazing take or you edit a little bit of your footage and realize all the weeks of hardly any sleep and the stress is worth it because you are creating something that is entirely you're own and that entertains. You are telling a story that no one else can  tell because they are not you. 

But with this? There is no risk. The project is completed. We did it. But we need your help to get it out there and make it stand out and for that you will be rewarded with some pretty cool stuff!

And we will be keeping track here of every dollar spent that you give us! Down to what we order to make the perks and what festivals we submit to and the fees. We want to keep you in the loop as extensively as we can.
