The main reason why the creator is so passionate about this film is because J.K Rowling created three incredibly fascinating and complex characters who's stories have never really been told. Plus, Kelsey was brought up in a "three sisters" dynamic, so feels she can draw a lot of inspiration.
As a huge Harry Potter fan, she would love to see more about them and create something that other fans would also enjoy too!

HANNAH SNOW: Narcissa Black (Malfoy)
![]()
Hannah is a talented actress who is incredibly confident on screen and has experience working on short films as an actress, and also as a supporting artist on major feature films. She truly embodied the role of the youngest sister Narcissa with ease when the promotional shots and stills for this campaign were taken. We're excited to see her in full action!
Hogwarts House: Slytherin, so it was a natural choice!
ABBI KAYE ELLISON: Andromeda Black (Tonks)
![]()
Abbi is a formally trained and talented performer who has been in various theatre productions across the years, playing every unique role with perfection. Since we know the least about the middle sister, Andromeda was actually inspired a little by Abbi, as she is Kelsey's (the writers) sister! Abbi was unfortunately not available for the promotional shots, due to timing and budget, but already truly brought the character to life at the first script reading!
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw
KELSEY ELLISON: Bellatrix Black (Lestrange)

Kelsey is a highly dedicated, versatile and energetic actress who embodies any role she's given. She's a formally trained performer and has been in many theatre shows across the years. Her latest credit includes a speaking role in "Solo: A Star Wars Story". She's also the older sister of Abbi, who will be playing Andromeda, so that dynamic will be perfect!
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor

Kelsey Ellison is a highly passionate and hardworking individual who has worked in various aspects of the creative world. She studied musical theatre professionally at SLP College Leeds and was the first person in over 10 years to be offered a scholarship on the first audition. After graduating, she has worked on various music videos, films and live performances.
She also has her own youtube channel where she creates everything herself, which has lead to social media and editing work over the years.
From research and working personally on various productions, she has gained knowledge and experience on how films are created and is excited to take a step into making her own film with the help of others.

P.S...She also danced as Hermione once and plans to put in the same amount of energy and joy into working on this film. (Yes, she's milking the meme for all it's worth!)

This has been a huge passion project for a long time, but one of the main reasons this has never gone anywhere is because of course...the budget. To make this film something of a high quality there needs to be one! We are hoping to raise £10,000 to make this. Now this may sound like a lot of money (it is!) but for a film, it is actually very low budget.
We are bringing in volunteers and favours, but it still sadly won't make this film a reality without a trip to Gringotts.
This is a flexible goal, however £10,000 would be the most ideal budget to have on this production.
Why £10k? From extensive research in low budget films and other crowdfunded fan films, this is the amount we feel is appropriate. Here are what other fan films needed/achieved to create their production.
- The Gathering Storm: A Marauders Fan Film: $44,490
- Snape and the Marauders: $39,000
- Voldemort: Origins of the Heir: €15,000
All of these films were a good basis to work from too, as they are around the same run time as our script (approx 30 minutes or more).
Here are our goals:
£3,000 is raised
We will create a 10 minute short which will include 1-2 scenes. Therefore all indiegogo rewards can still be carried out and you get to see the characters in action.
£5,000 is raised
We can start on the production. Approximately half can be filmed and edited. We would then either have to do a fundraiser relaunch or find other ways to finish the film. This will obviously halt the production, which will mean it will take a lot longer for the film to come out. You will still also get the short as a preview for what to come.
£10,000 is raised
We get the film! Production can start in September/October and if everything goes to plan, the film can be released within a year!
Over £10,000 is raised
We can up the production on everything! Better equipment, locations, VFX, music etc. We could also possibly make the film longer and add in an even more epic duel scene (yes, there’s a duel scene!) If by some miracle a significantly larger amount is raised, we may be able to give some epic rewards too!
Since this is a non profit film and the film will be shown for free on youtube, if there are any remaining funds after creating Sisters of House Black, Kelsey will personally donate the amount to J.K Rowling’s charity Lumos.
Costs Breakdown
The money would go to and ONLY into making this film. It is purely non profit and just something that we truly want to make. Here's a break down of where the money would go.
-
Equipment: Camera's, lighting, sound, basically anything needed technically to make this film.
-
Locations: The story needs a few different locations, which is a very important part of the film.
-
Wardrobe and Props: There is going to be a specific look and style to this film, so this really is important too.
-
Transportation and Food: FOOD KEEPS EVERYONE HAPPY!
-
Rehearsal Space: Because of a lower budget, we will probably only have a set amount of time to film on location. So to make sure we get it right and save budget in the long run, we will be doing rehearsals and run throughs before shoots. We also want to get the characters and actors to be the best they can fully be!
-
Post Production: We need the magic and music to be... magical!
- Any other artistic or promotional needs.
- The Indiegogo rewards materials
- Indiegogo fees.
![]()
Another reason we decided to go forward with an Indiegogo project was to help make more people who may be interested in working on something like this aware of it. We need to build a team. At the moment we have
- The three main actors
- Volunteers
- Acting coach/Assistant Director
- The screenplay
And that's about it! We want to be able to give the opportunity for budding creatives to work on something as exciting as this. The key people being a Director and Director of Photography. Castings for other characters will also be taking place very soon, which is incredibly exciting!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are many perks and rewards for backing this film and even the smallest contribution can truly help. And even if you can't back this film, just sharing it with your friends, letting people know about it can really help a ton. In fact, the more people that know about it, the more easier it will be to make this film a reality!
Thank you for reading and...
