"Our Story Began at the Dawn of Time"
Nick Beckman and Tyler Sherek have been making short videos together for nearly a decade(link). Despite the reputations of other mildly successful duos(Milli Vanilli, Savage Garden, Stabler & Benson) these two have chosen to stay together through thick and thin for the sake of their beloved audience.
Their latest venture, Squatch'd, will focus its narrative on a group of film students who have just undertaken a rather ambitious production. When the director goes missing, the rambunctious crew members - headed by the film's producer, Pat - can only come to one conclusion about who the perpetrator might be...the area Sasquatch.
And the chase begins.
What We Need & What You Get
In order to maintain a properly functioning set and work environment, the budget for Squatch'd is centered towards the cast and crew. We feel that providing tansportation, proper food and beverages, and overall compensation for their efforts is the best way to maximize productivity on and off set.
The building materials, costumes & make-up and locations account for a significant portion of the budget and will be essential to us meeting our final goal!
We are understanding that not everyone will be able to contribute financially to our production, so we are asking for a "like" or "share" on facebook every now and then!
That being said, financial contributions will not only be greatly appreciated they will also be rewarded.
(see PERKS)
The Impact
Being that Squatch'd is a sort of satire of film school we feel that the professionalism exhibited on our set will help diminish the negative perceptions of film student productions. Every crew and cast member is professionally trained and experienced in their given fields so we feel that we are all laughing at ourselves together!
Risks & Challenges
Our main challenge during this production will be gathering equipment, transportation(for equipment, cast & crew shuttle and for background in certain scenes) and food/drink. If we can not meet our budget it is likely we will have to greatly downsize our production!
