Story of the Story
The process of Stagefright began in November 2018 when Evan L'Roy recounted a horrifying experience from his childhood theatre days and Mackenzie Edmondson thought: "I'd watch that." From there the writing process began and the story became the beautifully mad mess that it is today.
Later in March, Mackenzie mentioned off-handedly to Quinn Kealey the premise and he thought: "I'd direct that."
That brings us to the present (May 2019) wherein the casting process is in full swing with over 300 applicants from all across the globe. Full pre-production is underway, but we won't be able to make it work without asking for a little help.
What We Need & What You Get
We are an independent production and as such, can't rely on big-name executives to fund our work. We have a goal of $7000 to fund the entire project.
- This would cover:
- Cost of set and prop builds
- Costumes
- G&E Rentals
- Lens kit
- Paying our actors
- Paying locations
- Feeding our endlessly hungry crew
- Hiring a Shark Wrangler
- The Impact
This project would likely find itself at a financial standstill without the assistance you can provide. We intend to make this happen one way or another, but your help could ensure that we all have the money to pay our rent once it's all said and done (no pressure).
