First and foremost, Star Trek Continues respectfully and graciously thanks CBS, the holder of the copyright to Star Trek. CBS' understanding of the passion fans have for Star Trek is second-to-none, and we're grateful to have the opportunity to pay tribute with our fan-based non-profit webseries. STC is in no way affiliated with, nor endorsed by, CBS or Paramount Pictures.
Produced by Trek Continues Inc (in association with Dracogen Strategic Investments), Star Trek Continues is a successful, award-winning, non-profit, fan-based webseries devoted to finishing the original five-year mission!
Trek Continues Inc is a registered non-profit corporation in the United States. Your donations to this campaign are tax-deductible!
Our first episode -- "Pilgrim of Eternity" -- premiered in May 2013 at Phoenix Comicon to an audience of almost 3000. This inaugural story brings back original series guest star Michael Forest as "Apollo."
In February 2014, we premiered "Lolani" at Dallas Comicon. The episode features Lou Ferrigno and explores the issue of slavery and sex trafficking.
Our third episode -- "Fairest of Them All" -- premiered in June of 2014 at Supanova in Sydney, Australia, and is a continuation of the popularTOS story "Mirror, Mirror." We were fortunate to be able to shoot the final scene at Space Center Houston, with the restored original Galileo shuttlecraft!
We released our fourth episode -- "The White Iris" -- at Phoenix Comicon in May 2015 to a packed house. This story delves into emotional loss, shame, closure, and self-forgiveness.
Our fifth episode -- "Divided We Stand" -- premiered at Salt Lake Comicon in September 2015 to a full room of 1500 fans, with hundreds more turned away at the door. This was STC's first episode off the ship! Set in the American Civil War, the story explores the cost of freedom.

In November 2013, we launched a successful "Kirkstarter" which allowed us to produce Star Trek Continues episodes 2, 3, and 4.
In January 2015, we launched "Kirkstarter 2.0" to continue our journey: produce two more episodes, and build the enormous engineering set. And we did exactly that!
STC has released five
episodes -- and we're in post-production on the next two!
Episode 6 -- "Come Not Between the Dragons" -- is an action-packed, dramatic
story that deals with deeply personal issues. Guest-starring Gigi Edgley of Farscape fame, it will be released at the end of
May. Episode 7 -- "Embracing the Winds" -- features guest-star Beau Billingslea (Star Trek Into Darkness) and the return of Erin Gray! With the help of this campaign, it will be released in September.
We're asking for $350,000 to...
STC's track record speaks for itself. As deeply committed stewards of our precious fans' donations, we do what we say we will -- without exception. So many of our previous donors tell us they can't wait to support us again! One needs only watch an episode to see these generous donations at work.
Our producers have never drawn a salary, and they never will. In fact, executive
producer Vic Mignogna personally funded the first episode and has put nearly
$150,000 of his own money into the series. Co-executive producer Steven Dengler
has contributed over $100,000. Our
co-producers donate their time -- some working hard every day of the year on
various aspects of the show -- simply because of a deep love for Star Trek and for
our STC family!
We seek no return other than the joy of paying tribute to TOS -- both in the creation of these episodes, and in the privilege of sharing them with beloved fans.
All money raised goes to hard costs related to the development, filming, and post-production of these stories, such as:
In addition, Star Trek Continues has overhead costs to run this fundraiser:
"The flagship of the fan film fleet is easily STAR TREK CONTINUES."
-The Wall Street Journal
The accuracy of the sets, lighting, and photography -- as well as the quality acting and characterization -- have brought praise and support from elite reviewers and Star Trek fans all over the world!
In addition, WIRED produced a documentary
series about the making of STC! Be sure to check out the videos here.
Between Vimeo and YouTube, we've had more than 4 million views of our episodes... averaging 4400 per day! Hundreds of fans contact us; here's what some have to say:
"I can see a great deal of love and care went into the production of this web series and I wholeheartedly applaud you for it. To think I can see a continuation of the original series in this fan-made form is pure joy."
-Ozne R.
"You hit absolutely everything right. You matched the style without it feeling dated. You caught the actors' and characters' spirits without them feeling like impressionists. The story was compelling, meaningful, and in the true spirit of ST:TOS... with a kind moral. Fantastic."
-Ryan R.
And perhaps most impressive of all:
"I'm pretty damn sure my dad would consider this canon. The fact that you do stories that mean something, that have depth, that make us all think a little bit... I really think he would applaud you guys. And I applaud you guys. And as far as I'm concerned, it IS canon. So thank you."
-Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry, Jr.
