SwampCon is an annual, multi-media convention held in Gainesville, Florida on the University of Florida campus. Our convention celebrates many genres, including anime, sci-fi, tabletop, video games, and more. It is absolutely free to attend!

For this year's event, we've reached for the sky. Our theme, SwampCon: Frontier, is the space western, the blend of science fiction and western tropes, a theme that pays homage to our roots while settling in new territory. With a fully revamped venue, we're pioneers in a new world, and it's a world we're ready to share with all of you.

SwampCon: Frontier will be held January 14th-15th, 2017 and run all day for both days. It will be hosted at the J. Wayne Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus.

Some of our main attractions for this year include:

• Whosical the Musical
• Fanmade Vocaloid Hologram Concert
• SwampCon Drag Show, featuring local performers
• Gator Anime’s Maid Cafe
• Panels presented on a myriad of topics
• Special media guest appearances including voice actors, internet personalities, and industry guests
• Vendors and artists offering merchandise and art for sale

For six years now, SwampCon has been a convention with zero cost for admission. Each year we grow in size and take on more roles, and as a result, we rely on more funding from sponsorships and donors like you!

All income donated to our event will be used to help run SwampCon: Frontier and allow us to continue making improvements on our programming and overall features.

Contributions will go toward funding:

• Our lovely convention guides, prints, and merchandise that you see the day of the convention!
• Special guests! With more support, we can invite more lovely guests!
• Prizes and support for our wonderful contests and events!
• Food and supplies for our fantastic and hard-working volunteer staff!

As a show of our thanks for your donations, we offer several rewards listed as perks:

• Credits in Programming: Your name will be mentioned on our website, social media, our convention guide, and in the credits to the Vocaloid Hologram Concert.
• Out of this World Buttons: You will receive our beautiful 2.25" buttons with original artwork from the SwampCon Design Team!

• The Most Prized Print in the Galaxy: You will receive a 4x6 print of original artwork from the SwampCon Design Team!

• Spacetastic Stickers: You will receive three stickers of original artwork from the SwampCon Design Team, with capabilities to stick them anywhere you want.

• Official SwampCon: Frontier T-Shirt: One of our dandy t-shirts will be reserved for you to pick up at the con! Although we will be selling them at the con, supplies are limited, so act now! T-Shirts come in sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL, and XXXL. Please email swampconfundraising@gmail.com with your size preference after you donate.

• VIP Seating at Main Events: You will be granted access to limited VIP seating at some of our Main Events including the Doctor Who play, Drag Show, Maid Cafe, and Special Guest Panels.
• Access to Convention Break Room: You will be able to visit our special break room during the convention. Inside there will be free food and drink and a place to relax after spending hours exploring SwampCon's events and panels.
• Commissioned Digital Art: Commissions are offered by the SwampCon Design Team and are done on one level. After donating, please indicate your top two preferred artists. If one of our artists has filled up with commissions already, we will default to your second choice. Please email swampconfundraising@gmail.com with your choices after you donate. (Please note that this is for a digital commission only and you will not receive a physical version.)

SwampCon is organized by college students who devote their time and effort to making a free, enjoyable, and exhilarating convention. Each year we learn more about planning, how we can improve, and what you, the donors and attendees, love about SwampCon the most!
