Lloyd Kaufman is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and iconoclast. He is the president and co-founder of Troma Entertainment Inc. (along with VP Michael Herz) and the creator of The Toxic Avenger.
Directing credits include, but are not limited to: Squeeze Play!, Waitress!, Stuck on You!, The Toxic Avenger (parts I-IV), Class of Nuke ‘Em High, Troma’s War, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Tromeo and Juliet, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead, and Shakespear’s Shitstorm.
Performance credits include: Rocky, Cannes Man, Tromeo and Juliet, Orgazmo, Terror Firmer, Lollilove, Comic Book: The Movie, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead, Crank: High Voltage, Guardians of the Galaxy, Klown Kamp Massacre, The Suicide Squad.
A prolific artist himself, Kaufman has inspired generations of filmmakers including (but not limited to): James Gunn, Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Mike Judge, Peter Jackson, and Trey Parker.
Lloyd is married to Patricia S Kaufman with whom he has three daughters: Lily Hayes (writer), Lisbeth (CEO KITSPLIT.com), and Charlotte (Director/ DP).
