The Book I Never Knew I Wanted To Write

I have been making and using sigils (magickal symbols) for over a decade. A couple of years ago I really wanted to do something creative, but I had no idea what to do. So I made a sigil to manifest creativity and prosperity. That inspired me to set up an on-line sigil making tutorial. One of the sections of the tutorial was about how to go beyond the original purpose of the sigil and use it to inspire a creative adventure. I created a visual sample and I so enjoyed that process that I kept making more artwork inspired by sigils.

As I made more pieces the idea for the book began to take shape. It occurred to me that I could help people understand that Creative does not always mean Artistic and show them how to use sigils to inspire their dormant creativity!

This self publishing odyssey is quite a learning experience! Two of the things I've discovered are that I can't do it on my own and it isn't free. I don't have some of the skills needed to get the book published and promoted. I can learn these skills, and have plans to do so, but they're not things I can learn overnight and I'd like to publish the book this year.

Although I can design the print version of the book I don't have the skill (yet) to format it for e-readers so I will have to hire someone to do that. I will need to get an ISBN number, publishing accounts and ads to publicize the book among other things. Full disclosure: Even if I don't get fully funded I still plan to publish the book and send out perks, it will just take a lot longer!
