Hi, I'm Magda.

I'm taking my one woman show: "The Cock Painter" to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2020! Why? Because she has some ambitions and I'm willing to accommodate them. 

• I began "The Cock Painter" in 2015 as a joke, not knowing that over the next five years the show would gain depth and revelations. It has grown into an evening length meditation on human stench, vulnerability and the morality of wiping an ass. The piece has received support from The Philadelphia Thing, the Free Fringe Philly, the Exponential Festival with Lisa Fagan, The Cathy Weis Showcase, and Good Good Comedy Theatre.
• The Edinburgh Fringe Festival has become a holy grail for devised performance, and as an artist I want to climb the mountain of this experience. No one comes back unchanged; if there is one thing I want as an artist and an everyday person, it is to be changed by the work that I do. Edinburgh is an opportunity to meet other kin artists. Edinburgh is the gateway to more work and wider audiences.
• By donating to this campaign you will help me realize one artistic goal for 2020: to take "The Cock Painter" to Edinburgh.

• Donate $25 or more and receive an invitation to my swanky preview party from 7pm to 9pm on Saturday, January 18 at Partners and Son. I'll be debuting video from my web series based on the show, and guests can stay cozy with wine, treats from The Mighty Bread Co., and artful activities curated by Big Top Thrift and Meghan Turbitt.

How I'm Contributing

In Spring 2020 I will be doing a run of fundraising shows and donating the proceeds to this campaign. In the works: a run produced by Chris Davis through the Free Fringe and another show at Good Good Comedy Theatre.
