What is Doctor Puppet?
It's a fan series unlike any you’ve seen before. Since 2013, we’ve been telling an original animated Doctor Who story, one episode at a time. When we last left the Eleventh Doctor, he was taking a leap of faith. What will he discover on the other side? You’ll find out... when we complete Episode 8, the finale! Which is what this campaign is for.
Over the years, Doctor Puppet has been featured on lots of websites and podcasts, and received praise from the likes of the BBC, Doctor Who Magazine, and even Steven Moffat.
Why do you need help?
Stop motion animation is a massive undertaking. We literally have to make very frame by hand. (Seriously, we’re crazy.) Each episode takes months to plan and produce. A modest budget will cover the cost of supplies, equipment, and compensate us for some of our time. We used Indiegogo to help make our 2014 Christmas special, and it was a massive help. Now we’re ready to make Episode 8, and these funds will make it happen faster, and make it even better.
What can I expect, and when?
Episode 8 will complete the story we’ve been telling since Episode 1. We don’t want to share the plot of course (spoilers!) but we will say that it has a lot of puppets in it. We want to release it in the Fall of 2016. We’ll keep you informed when we have a more definite release plan.
What can I get?

Besides getting to watch the completed Episode 8, we have an assortment of perks to offer you! You can get your name in the credits of the episode, a custom chalk message from the 12th Doctor, or even a used puppet arm! (We'll send out emails after the campaign asking for your custom chalk message and how you want your name displayed in the credits.)
We've added a brand new perk! You can now get a slice of the set from Episode 7 signed and doodled on by Alisa and Rachel.
Who are you crazy puppet people?
We’re a small team of professionals who make Doctor Puppet in our free time. We’ve worked on TV shows such as The Wonder Pets, Superjail, Team UmiZoomi, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We live in and around New York City, except for Scott who resides in England. Here’s a rare conjunction of Scott, Alisa, Rachel, Amanda, and Erin, at the L.I. Who convention in November 2015.
