After a friend of mine contracted HIV from having unprotected sex I designed, developed and patented a revolutionary new condom called the Galactic Cap.  It's a groundbreaking, game changing, world altering, potentially life saving product that may be one of the finest inventions of the 21st century.

The Galactic Cap is remarkable because it fits safely and securely only on the head of the penis, leaving the coronal ridge and shaft exposed for a more powerful orgasm.

According to our market research, 96% of men and women dislike traditional condoms. Yet, every year 18.5 billion condoms are sold worldwide.  This for a product that people are indifferent about, at best.

Last November the Gates Foundation awarded 11 grants for new condom designs. All of them cover the entire penis, which is really nothing new and doesn't guarantee increased trial. In short, they have just rearranged the deck chairs on the Titanic. 

Initially, the Galactic Cap is designed as a pregnancy prevention product that will reduce overpopulation and unwanted teen pregnancy. But clinical testing may reveal that the G-Cap also reduces the spread of HIV and STDs. This could happen in two ways:

1) Healthy skin is a barrier to infection. Most men know if they have a sore or an abrasion on their skin. If they do, they should adopt the full protection of a traditional condom.  If they don’t, the Galactic Cap may afford more protection from HIV because it traps semen in an air tight reservoir cap, thus preventing fluid transmission which is the main cause of HIV infection. Compare that to traditional condoms that fail 15 to 18% over time.

2)  Only 5% of the men in the world use traditional condoms primarily because of their de-sensitizing nature. (In developed countries, usage is higher, between 17 and 20%). The Galactic Cap would greatly increase the use of protection because it enhances skin-to-skin sexual pleasure. In short, more men would use some protection instead of none. What good does it do to have the perfect condom if no one uses it? Let’s put more choice in the marketplace and let consumers decide.

Now imagine a time when 50 to 75% of the men in the world wear either a traditional condom or the G-Cap. Imagine what that would do for the prevention of HIV around the world.
