A Slime-Soaked Horror epic!
The goal with "The Necroplasmic Massacre" is to create a truly unique horror film. The archetypes are all there and the movie will deliver all the slimy monster action and excessive gore you could want, but beyond that is also an intense police procedural and a story of a normal guy trying to make things right. For director Sébastien Godin and writer-producer Dustin Hubbard, it’s the most ambitious project yet.
And to show you just how ambitious we’re talking, I think we should introduce you to some of the fine folks involved…
SÉBASTIEN GODIN
Director
Since a young age, Sébastien has carried a love of monsters. Growing up on Godzilla movies, the Universal Monsters, Hammer and the films of Roger Corman, he began making his own short horror films at 15 years old. Almost a decade later, he’s written and directed two features LYCANIMATOR and OUIJA MUMMY, both of which will be released by Wild Eye Releasing in 2019. The Necroplasmic Massacre is his most ambitious project to date and he hopes to deliver the most unhinged horror film of the year with it.
DUSTIN HUBBARD
Writer-Producer
Growing up with a love for all things horror, it was only natural that Dustin would branch off into filmmaking himself. Over the past few years, he has found himself producing a number of award-winning features as well as completing several screenplays of his own, with Necroplasmic being one of them. With this script, he aims to deliver the best (first?) police procedural slime monster movie ever made.
CLINT KELLY
Cinematographer
Having shot OUIJA MUMMY last year, Clint was an obvious choice to be the man in charge of making Necroplasmic look as cinematic as possible. He’s an experienced cinematographer and editor with years of experience in the indie horror world.
TOBY JOHANSEN
Creature designer-suit maker
No one has a mind quite like Toby’s. His own love of monsters is also a driving force in his creative endeavors. Toby’s designs for our main creature are out of this world and we can guarantee that it’ll be magnificent when fully realized.
DAVID SANTIAGO TATE
Make—up artist
A Florida-based makeup artist who will be in charge of the other character makeups, including secondary monsters and our main human villain.
JAMES BELL
Gore effects
A maestro of cinematic weirdness in his own right, James’ gore effects have garnered him lots of attention in the indie horror world in recent years.
JOE MEREDITH
Additional creatures
With his own films SOUTH MILL DISTRICT and TERATOMORPH, Joe demonstrates his ability to create truly unique monsters, some of which will now be existing in the world of Necroplasmic!
DUSTIN MILLS
Additional creatures
Dustin’s resume is nothing short of impressive, having directed a large number of amazing micro-budget features and doing creature effects for others in the past few years. We look forward to his monsters being with us on set!
DAKOTA DROBNICKI
Composer
Dakota has been composing for Sébastien since the director’s film school days. His work is eclectic, ranging from aggressive and eerie to melancholy and tragic and he proudly wears his inspirations on his sleeve with every track he makes.
And now, onto our cast…
ALBERTO GIOVANNELLI
Officer Tony Berto
A regular of the Florida horror scene, Alberto has made appearances in such films as American Guinea Pig: Bloodshock, Cannibal Claus and Lycanimator. Necroplasmic will be his first leading role as the vengeful Officer Tony Berto.
GIOVANNI LOMBARDO RADICE
Ziegler Wolf
An icon of euro-horror, Giovanni has been in such films as Cannibal Apocalypse, City of the Living Dead, StageFright, The Church as well as more mainstream fare as the 2006 remake of The Omen. He will be playing Ziegler Wolf, the evil head of Plasma Plus.
MICHAEL PARE
A true cult star of the 80's, Michael has appeared in such classics Eddie & The Cruisers and Streets Of Fire. Most recently he has been seen in indie and genre hits like Bone Tomahawk, Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich and Astro. Pare will be playing the role of Agent Alchrecht, a hard bitten police agent bent on solving the mystery of the suspiciously mounting pile of dead, slime-covered corpses.
HELENE UDY
Helene is best known for her role in the Canadian slasher classic My Bloody Valentine. She has also appeared in The Dead Zone and was a series regular on the TV drama Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. She will be portraying Agent Hudson, the partner and right hand of Agent Albrecht.
NICOLA FIORE
Medical Examiner Franklin
Nicola has been leaving her mark in the genre world for years now with her roles in such films as Slaughter Daughter, She Wolf Rising and Night of Something Strange. Necroplasmic presents a very different role for her, that of a medical examiner who finds herself caught up in the nightmare.
JOEL D. WYNKOOP
Conrad Connors
A veteran of the micro-budget film world, Joel has written, acted and directed numerous films on top of appearing in tons of films for others. Some examples include Tim Ritter’s Killing Spree, Truth or Dare? A Critical Madness, Lost Faith, The Bite and many others. Joel plays Conrad Connors, the doomed homeless man who becomes the movie’s lead monster.
TOBY JOHANSEN
Corrosive Connors
Being the creator of the monster, it’s only natural that Toby would be the man in the suit himself. He will be playing Corrosive Connors, Necroplasmic’s leading freakozoid.
Other cast members include Kii Hornick (Ouija Mummy), Cidney Meredith (South Mill District), Michael O’Hear (Johnny Gruesome), Jonathan E. Smith (Lycanimator), Cayt Feinics (American Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh & Blood) and many many more. Other genre names are in talks for significant roles as well and will be announced as time goes on.
