The Sitar, the research of a magical instrument.

The legend is telling, that The Goddess Saraswati gave this stringed instrument to humans.
This instrument has 2 sets of strings: one on top of the other. When the strings are played, the secondary strings resonate, creating a “sympathetic effect” results in the mystical sound, which the Sitar is known and loved for.

History of Resonando
After the new sunrise of the 13 Baktun (the beginning of the new era according to the Mayan cosmology), we felt the necessity of sharing what we felt passionate about and share it with other people. So my luthier brother (Chelelongius) proposed me (Carolingius) to conduct investigations, into the most unique musical instruments in the world and share it for free with all the people we feel connected to and that have the same passion for musical instruments. . This, to further understand their origin, cultural importance and specifically the unique process of their creation. But, which instruments qualifies to be part of such investigational project? Stringed, percussion, wind…

Chapter 1 - The Udu Drum, sounds from the hearth of the earth
In the Mayan Book, The Popol Vuh, the gods Kucumatz and Huracan, chose to create the first humans from mud… therefore we found it interesting to research such a basic instrument that can be made out of just mud - a pottery musical instrument, a ceramic drum, “The Udu”.
Chapter 1 is a documentation of the different technics of constructing the Udu, it´s secrets, the workshops and the variety of its different sounds.
Watch it here ( http://resonandogt.com/udu-drum.html).

• Develop all the pre production, and research.
• Travel to India for the production.
• Send all the Rewards.
• Create and record, The traveler Sitar.

This chapter will begin with a ceremony, in the heart of the ancient India - In the temple of the Goddess Saraswati during a sunrise, asking for her blessings, and feeling a special appreciation for giving the Sitar to humanity, the music, the art, the knowledge & the wisdom.
We intent to include blessings for the people that helped us accomplish this part of the research in the ceremony.
As part of our investigation, my luthier brother Chelelongius will be building a Traveler model of a Guitar Sitar, following the same resonance principles of the sympathetic strings
