The Crew
"I started working on this script in second year at film school, but never got the chance to make it. Now graduated and working as a freelance edit assistant I am doing all I can to keep in touch with my dream as a writer/director and to get this film made with the help of; Penny Koviou, the producer, Savannah Gladstone, the DOP, and Jaco Norman, and Simon Scardanelli, our two incredible actors.
My last project was a music video surrounding mental health. It had a £200 budget so the DOP and I worked very hard to do a 6 person job as a two person crew. We also managed to get some free kit and worked with the locations at hand; a student house. Having restrictions can be difficult but also quite liberating. The music video managed to get 7000+ views and helped spread awareness about mental health in the UK." - Joanna Cavlan
How you will help us
Funding will give us, the crew, a chance to keep pursuing our passion outside of film school, where unfortuantely, resources to make films are considerably less available to new filmmakers.
Our moral code is to always remunerate people for their time and talent. As it is difficult to start out in this industry, we want to make sure that our cast and crew can manage to earn a living from such projects.
We need help to remunerate cast mostly, and compensation for other crew will also come from the director.
Any amount will help us greatly in our mission to make this short film. As little as £5 can contribute towards feeding our crew, paying our actors or towards getting a location permit. We also want to make it worth your while, with every donation increment you will get something in return such as a unique drawing of a shot from our storyboard, a cool poster and a ticket to our screening. Please see more below!
We understand the value of your help, and we want to take this film to the highest possible places. This will be challenging and we will face hurdles along the way. However, if we do not reach our goal, we still want to get our film made, no matter what. But to make it the best possible film it could be, and for it to do greatly at festivals and give us cast and crew exposure to kick start our careers, we're going to need your help!
We are all used to working with tight budgets and schedules, so every last bit of help will go a very long way with us
If you can't donate
We completely understand! If you are interested in our project please help us get some more exposure by sharing (it's not all about money!)
Best wishes,
TOTCM crew and cast
