Thanks to all backers support, we're able to have the prototypes upgraded even more compact, reliable, durable and easier to fit in case openings. These updates also enable the product to pass all the rigorous reliability tests!
In summary, there were following upgrades in the final product:
-. "Ladder" shape tip was designed. This also bring the benefits of relocated indicator that is dimmer and smaller, with right brightness at bed side.
-.The head have been designed to be thinner and stronger, with an extra layer of protection. There is less "fat" ensuring a sturdier hold of electronics inside.

UsBidi is the most intelligent charger that not only doubles the charging speed on computer USB, but also automatically shuts off power completely once fully charged so you don't have to unplug. It spares your device from battery killers like heat and mini-charging-cycles, extending battery life with healthier battery and longer-lasting charges.
UsBidi charger is designed to work with both your phones and tablets. Based its connector type, there are Lightning version for Apple devices and Micro USB version for Android/Windows Devices.

How does this work?
A lot of us leave our phones and tablets plugged in charging for extended periods, such as overnight. When left plugged in after the battery is full, a regular charger will cause elevated temperature and mini-charging-cycles, damaging the battery capacity and shortening its life over time.
UsBidi is created with an intelligent built-in PCB that shuts off charging circuit completely once battery is full, as though it has been unplugged. And your device will charge again next time when you plug it in.
The auto. power shut-off feature is comparable to an "auto-unplug" function. No more stressing your precious battery for 8 hours every night, wearing down its capacity.![]()

Charges Your Phones up to 2 x as Fast on USB Ports
How does this work?
When your phone is plugged into a computer's USB port, the regular charger will do data syncing and charging at the same time, which is the reason why the charging speed is so slow.
UsBidi charger gets a switch that stops data syncing once pressed, so that all the power available will be used to boost the charging speed.
Importantly please note that the fast charging feature works only under specific conditions, and does not work on an AC adapter.
Note - The battery charging process is a sophisticated process. Fast charging works more effectively when the battery is being charged at empty level on USB 2.0 port. There is no guaranty the fast charging can work all the time or on all your devices.
Type C is not compatible with this fast charging methodology, so there is no press button on the Type C flat cable.
Tidy Hold and Mess Free
Store UsBidi with a magnet (the magnet is not part of our project), always mess free.
Magnets are prohibited in air mails. UsBidi cables have an in-built metal that attach to the magnets such as your fridge magnets.

Why Did We Create UsBidi Charger?
A regular charger gets messy. It breaks, wastes energy and slowly kills the battery with heat and mini-cycles.

We started the idea and feasibility study in May 2014 to safeguard our devices battery by re-engineering the charger. And soon we identified more improvements that can tackle people’s common complaints about charging.
Following over a year of intense work on concepts, detailed design, manufacturer assessment & selection, prototyping, now we are ready to go into mass production.
Due to the manufacturer's shutdown/slowdown during CNY holidays, and further necessary product adjustment and development, shipping of the first batch of rewards is expected to start from Mid. May this year, followed by more production and shipments of additional batches.

Q: How do I select my connector types, lengths and colors for my pledge? Can you guaranty I will get my preferred choices?
A: We will send you a BackerKit survey to collect your preferred choices. The combination of types, lengths and colors means over 20 variants to be produced. The manufacturer requires minimum quantities per single variant. The team will try the best to match your preferred selection but can not guaranty.
Q: What iPhone models is the Lightning version compatible with?
A: UsBidi Lightning version will be compatible with your current iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6+, 6s and 6s+ models. The team will be looking into MFi.
Q: Does the fast charging function work on an AC adapter or a power bank?
A: The fast charging function is only applicable when your device is plugged into the USB ports of your computer or in your car.
A lot parameters can affect your battery' charging speed, so the fast charging works effectively when your battery is being charged from zero level on computer USB 2.0, but does not work effectively all the time.
The battery charging process is a sophisticated process. There is no guaranty the fast charging can work all the time or on all your devices.
Q: Will it work with my phone cases?
A: The demonstrated prototype was "fat". Thanks to all backers support, the campaign is able to have the cables' tip and body upgraded to be slimmer and smaller. They can fit in the opening of most cases on the market following the upgraded designs.
However, there are still few special water proof cases with small and deep opening that are not compatible with UsBidi.
Q: Does auto power shut-off feature works on AC adapter and power bank?
A: Yes. Auto power shut-off (auto "unplug") feature works on computer USB ports, car USB ports, AC adapter and power bank.
Q: Does UsBidi come with an AC adapter? What's at the other end of UsBidi?
A: No, AC adapter is not included. You can use it with your existing AC adapters. The other end of UsBidi cable is a standard USB-A plug intended for power voltage no higher than 5V. Do not use UsBidi on voltage higher than 5V.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: No refund can be offered. Bringing a new product to the market involves enormous investment, efforts, sometimes even trial/errors.
Q: How long is the warranty?
A: 2 years limited warranty covers defects in manufacturing workmanship only. The warranty does not cover your usage and product aging.

From years of engineering experience with daily cross discipline collaboration, we understand what it takes to bring an innovative product to fruition. You support the campaign with your contribution, and with the understanding that the campaign is about creating a new product that does not exist on the market.
The prototypes require refining, testing, and adjusting before mass production. Sometimes there are needs of adjustment, improvement, upgrades and changes along the way for a better product.
The selected manufacturing partner is one of the top charger/cable manufacturers. It has demonstrated its experience, attention to details and effective certified management systems. We plan to use the same manufacturer for mass production.
Existing current technologies were used and relied upon in an innovative way to create the unique products.
As same as other campaigns, the development/production/shipment takes a few stages and can not be done all at once. There could be some unexpected delays despite all the efforts in planning.
There are over 20 variants to be produced. The manufacturer requires minimum quantities per single variant. The team will try the best to match your preferred selection but can not guaranty.
We will always do the best, but can not guaranty or predict delivery of the rewards. We will keep backers informed during the project/campaign.
