Ustu is a small embroidery clothing brand based in Brooklyn, NY created by Amelia Rami and Harlan Hue.
As Harlan was finishing up his Fine Art degree in 2017 and Amelia working in the fashion industry, the two began to collaborate on fashion related projects, creating embroidered pants while slowly forming our brand Ustu.
Just as Ustu began gaining momentum, everything came to a halt. After graduating in 2018, our University would no longer allow us access to their digital embroidery machines, therefore stopping all Ustu production.
We are now looking to advance the brands possibilities with this campaign, we hope to receive enough funds to purchase our own digital embroidery machine.
These machines are extremely advanced and expensive. The specific Embroidery Machine model we are looking to get is made by Brother sewing company, its called the "DreamMaker XE VE2200" and costs $4,500.
Receiving funds for this project would allow us to continue creating and producing embroidered items under our brand Ustu. We now share an art studio together and have more ideas than ever. With funds received from this campaign, we would finally be able purchase the embroidery machine for our studio, where we can give life to the designs we've been curating for the brand over this past year.
Donating to this project has a variety of perks, a donator could receive a hand drawn thank-you letter, a pair of ustu pants, a custom painting, and much more.
If you are unable to provide a donation, please feel free to share/repost our page.
Thanks!
With Love,
Ustu
