We love you, Mary
Many of us Dartmouth students depend on Stinson’s General Store to pick up any range of supplies and goodies. There are even some of us who enjoy stopping by for the simple pleasure of the people who work there.
One of these people particularly distinguishes herself for her unprecedented kindness and consideration, our beloved Mary. If you don’t know Mary you should. Unfortunately, Mary has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and in the same way that Mary has always listened to our problems and offered her sage help, we would like to return that kindness by helping her as best we can through her current rough patch. Students are already visiting her at Stinson’s to just stop by and say hi, Alpha Delta even sent her a delivery of flowers.
For this reason, we thought it would be a good idea to see if we could bring the Hanover community together to contribute towards a crowdfunding campaign to help Mary make up for the work hours she will lose from treatment. And, obviously, all proceeds go to the payment of her treatment.
So hope you join us in this initiative. And, if you’re low on cash like most people are in these rough times, you can always just pop in to say hi to Mary (and Jack, and Donna, and so on) a little more often—if you feel like it. Or, spread the word.
Thank you for reading.
**NOTE: I have personally spoken to Mary about this campaign and have gotten her approval to bring it to light.
**We would also like to give a shout out to Dartmouth's Random Acts of Kindness for their support in this project.
