We are Straight Outta Luck
Straight Outta Luck is a hardworking punk band based in Denver Colorado. We have been together for about 5 years, and it has been a long hard road getting everything together to make this band happen. We have dealt with solidifying our lineup, multiple practice spaces (one of which flooded), a near wreck due to a blown out tire on tour and a number of other setbacks. But after all of the hard knocks we want it to be known that we are not going away anytime soon, and we take pride in paying our dues and deserving our name.
Currently we have to use two or three cars to transport gear and band members to shows, which are an hour or more away when we go out of town. This leads to a lot of lost band funds due to transportation costs. We are at the point that a van is something that we really need, and have ambitions to expand our touring schedule in the next year, mostly in the midwest. We want to take our music on the road and get SOL to the next level.
By contributing a few bucks, you will be helping us get closer to getting a van and making our dream a reality! Plus, you might get a chance to see us play in your home town that much sooner!
What We Need & What You Get
- A van will cost a minimum of $1200. We need to raise that minimum so that we can get a solid base fund, and if not buy a van immediately, at least be that much closer to our goal.
- You will get some SOL merch starting at the $5 donation range. Some of it will be limited edition for this campagin only! Please see below for contribution schwag benefits.
- If we don't reach our goal, the money will be saved and added to from what little money that we make at shows until we can afford a van.
- All contributers are also entitled to hugs, handshakes and high-fives! That's right. You deserve it!
- In the event that a single human benefactor should be so generously inclined to buy or donate a functional van for us, we will drive to a reasonably located venue of their choice in said magnificent vehicle, and play a show specifically for such benefactor and a crowd of their chosen friends, family or random passers-by.
