The WiFi ResetPlug Story
We introduced the ResetPlug in Nov of 2015, and it quickly grew. It solves a very simple and common problem, to reset your WiFi if it stops working. It is not meant to keep you trapped in crappy WiFi hell; If your router or modem needs to be constantly reset, then get a new one. But this device is a great insurance policy for people that do not trust their router and modem 100%. Especially if you have devices that you depend on such as cameras, thermostats, smoke alarms, etc.
We just released our web app which is an add-on for $2 per month or $20 per year. This stores the network information and does troubleshooting to figure out why the WiFi stopped working. It will tell you if it was the router, the modem, the WiFi radio, or the Internet service provider. It can also send email alerts if things are offline and when they are fixed. And you can send a remote reset to the device from anywhere.
We are now getting ready to make our 2nd generation ResetPlug. It has a new chipset that includes 5GHz, better antenna design for better diagnostics, and it will be available in plug types for almost all of the world.
What We Need & What You Get
We are raising money with preorders to make sure we can meet the minimum order requirements of our manufacturing facility. We have already designed our custom board that will go inside the product. And the housing is a standard design already proven in several other smart plugs. We are just adding our branding and then doing all of the testing necessary for a product like this. FCC/CE, RoHS, and ETL (similar to UL).
For this we are offering the plug at a discount. As well as a 1 year subscription to our web app. Both for $50.

Risks & Challenges
This product will use the same firmware (software) as our existing product. So it has already been proven by over 10,000 users. It will also work with our existing web app.
Since we are making 4 different models for the international market, we want to make sure that we have orders of at least 300 units in each of the 4 model types. So if you can share with others in your area it can really help us hit the goal to produce them for your country.
