What Is This?
Hi! I'm Jessy Tomsko, and welcome to my campaign! I am a singer/songwriter currently in the process of making a new record here in my hometown of New York City, and it's called "Wild and Good." These songs are all so special to me, as the last year of my life has been full of big changes, new experiences, travel, and major moments, all of which have tremendously inspired my writing.
The title song "Wild and Good" is about my ultimate happy place with my ultimate somebody - I've discovered relatively recently that my soul feels more alive when I go to the mountains, and to the woods. The inspiration flows there, and it feels like magic. I wrote this song one day in upstate NY, sitting outside looking out on the birches and the creek. I still consider it a sweet gift I received in the sunshine, so this song is influencing the rest of the collection.
I've teamed up again with my AMAZING producer and dear friend Michael McCoy, and we are well on our way with this beautiful record. I've decided to do a crowd-funding campaign because I love the idea of involving everyone in the creation process, and bringing you all along for the ride!
I'm so excited to share these new songs; they've come straight from my heart, and I will be so incredibly grateful if you decide to support this project.

What We Need & What You Get
Here's where I break it down for you guys.....
- I've set this goal at $3000 so that I can cover the remaining studio sessions, the extra musicians I'm hiring (string quartet, anyone?!), the mixing and mastering, and the physical CDs.
- I'm getting creative with the rewards for this campaign! I'm hand-making some artsy stuff, jewelry, tote bags, lyric notebooks, and even offering music lessons and a live performance for those of you who are feeling especially giving!
- The great thing about Indiegogo is that even if I don't reach my goal, I can still allocate the funds I do raise to the making of this record. I fully intend to finish this project, but with your help it sure will go faster! Every little bit helps and I'm grateful for each of you who gives out of the kindness of your heart, because it says, "I support you and love what you're doing." That means the world.
The Impact
A couple years ago, I did another crowd-funding campaign for my last EP "Big Hearts" - it was incredible to see people so excited to help out, and then finishing the album and fulfilling all the rewards was obviously fantastic!
That EP traveled around the world and I heard from people from all over - from California to Germany to Australia. It got radio play, television placements, and it gave me some great opportunities to share the stage with some truly awe-inspiring artists like Joan Osborne, Loudon Wainwright, and Edwin McCain. I'm damn proud of that EP, and now I want to do something even bigger and better because more adventures always await!
Music, to me, is like breathing. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and grab my guitar before I do anything else (besides getting the coffee going). And I believe that when one person takes the time to do the thing they love the most, it brings a little more light into the world, and the air feels a little less heavy. Which causes a shift that everyone else can feel. And on and on it moves like a current.
I am so inspired by artists who do what they love and in turn make the world a happier and healthier place. I want to do what they do - create stuff that makes me smile and inspires others to find their passion.

Risks & Challenges
It's true that writing and recording a record is tough. Fun, thrilling, a little goofy - but definitely tough. But I've done it before and I can do it again! Of course, this is a big undertaking for an indie artist, and there is always the possibility that I won't hit my goal. It's the chance you take. But I promise to put everything I do receive toward the creation of this album, and I can't wait to get these new songs out for the world to hear.
I hope you good folks will join me. I am one ambitious cookie, and I'm in it to win it. And in conclusion, together, we can make something amazing.

Other Ways You Can Help
Maybe you love me and my music. Maybe you really want to support this project, but it's just not in the cards today. THAT'S OK! You can still make some noise for me! Tell your friends, your family, your co-workers, your neighbors, your barista, your yoga teacher, your dog. Post on your social media. Bake some cupcakes with my campaign URL written in frosting. Encourage everyone you know to pitch in because you really want to hear my new music, and you want them to hear it too!
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
Now let's do this.
Xoxo. -Jessy
