Short Summary

• Hello my name is Denis Gekara and I am the entrepreneur behind Wild Kenyan Hot Sauce. After graduating from Fairmont State University with my general degree in business it was a challenge to get a job, so I opened a small restaurant in Morgantown West Virginia, and named it the Kenyan Cafe. The purpose was to pay my bills but it grew to a full restaurant. I had minimal experience in managing, so I had to learn on the job. I made a lot of mistakes in six years only grossing around $315k. Shortly after opening, I needed a hot sauce to fit my style of cooking. I wanted to be able to bake with it, for customers to use on the table, and toss my wings in it to serve my customers. I couldn’t find any so I found the materials and made my own! Wild Kenyan hot sauce was born! My customers loved it. I got endless requests from customers who wanted to buy it.

• I am at the stage where I need to expand and this campaign is a way to propel me forward toward nationally distributing my hot sauce to share it with everyone. I am in Whole Foods Mid Atlantic company with many other small stores in the region. I am an UNFI  national distributor and with their help I am ready to drop my hot anywhere and it will be purchased  across the country. At this level of expansion it can be costly and in need lots of inventory at the start. 

• With your support it will be possible to sell my hot sauce in major grocery stores nationwide. I also have big dream of expanding internationally.  I promise your contribution will make a big difference to me and please talk it over with your friends and co workers and be a part of the big crowd of my wonderful customers even if you don't usually use hot sauces.

What We Need & What You Get

I need $75,000 to fully fund my initial demand, right now I am mostly doing 10 oz but I have come to appreciate what 5 oz play in introducing my hot lots of homes. Usually my customer who has not tried my hot sauce before buying they first buy 5 oz and later they buy two 10 oz bottles or more. I have lots of repeat customer who explained to me that; the reason why they use my hot is because baught 5 oz first.

• I will share my hot with you and am sure you will share it with your friends too. It makes a good gift for your family or co worker. Prepare a special meal and share with your family and friends. If you have a restaurant,  gallon size will be ideal,  try it with your wings and see it the customers will bite! In my perks, In will include 64 oz and six 5 oz  or  10 oz  and 3  bottles 10 oz, twelve 5 oz or 10 oz, eight 5 oz , and four of the 5 oz or 10 oz. Please check our perk section.
• So of the $ 75,000 I will make I have enough inventory of 10 oz to all whole foods in the country with cost of $32,000 and $ 15,000 will go 5 oz, $13,000 for gallon sizes 10 half gallon sizes $ 5,000 transport cost. The Impact

I hope by the 2nd quarter 2019 I will have started to import papers directly from my village where I grew up. I just want to give education and hope to children who end up being doctors and teachers. I hope to be of help as much as I can. My goal is  to complete a library in my local High School should I be privileged to get this project off the ground.

I started Kenyan Cafe with $ 6,672 and build it to $ 335, 000 annually for 6 years. I can do this! Your contribution will pave the way to getting more customers and wider distribution of the Wild Kenyan Hot Sauce. 

I believe someone has to do something different and that person is me, my hot sauce is different and my goal is to change the way people use hot sauce. I would like to use this opportunity to grow and help even more people than we do now. I believe this can be a 10, 20 million dollar company supporting multiple families. With unlimited opportunity to lift others!

Risks & Challenges

• If you cannot get a good start as you expand, you will always struggle with cash flow which is vital to expand and allowing all regions to access this amazing product.

• I have had challenges but I did not quit and now it is not quitting time. I always believe that good things are not easy. Challenges were part of my story  growing up in Kenyan. I think an obstacle means you have do things differently and not quit! If I quit then I have failed to solve a problem. I faced a problem when I could not find the hot sauce which can be used in multiple ways.

  I have knocked on doors and I continue to knock on doors until this is a national brand. When you have a good product customer will always support you and I am encouraged by my Wild Kenyan Hot Sauce!! We have quite a fun base...Love you all!!
