Short Summary
Woodpeckers Recorder Quartet is an international ensemble of virtuoso, prize-winning recorder players. We are so delighted to have been signed by the award-winning Norwegian recorder label LAWO Classics to record our first cd 'Borrowed, not stolen...'. This is a concept that has been at the heart of what we do for many years, consisting of Baroque music intertwined with old folk tunes from each of our respective countries: Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. All the music is 'borrowed' from other constellations and is arranged especially for us.
In March 2022, we spent four days recording in Oslo, and now we need a little helping hand to get to the next stage of production in order to be able release the cd in 2023!
What We Need & What You Get
We have a very specific budget for this cd recording, and we are lucky enough to have completed the first stage of the process. This Spring, we spent 3 wonderful days recording in Oslo with our recording engineer Tomas Wolden and producer Vegard Landaas. What we now need in order to complete the process are the funds to cover the following:
- Post-production costs
- Editing and mastering
- Producer’s fee
- Booklet design + booklet texts
- Printing costs of the cd and booklet
- Promotion & marketing costs
In exchange for helping us, you will get some unique perks! Outlined below are the different levels of support and rewards connected to them.
- LEVEL 1: As small or big a sum as you can afford! Any donation, little or large, is very helpful for us to reach our goal and is much appreciated!
- LEVEL 2: 250 sek- we will send a physical cd to you in the post
- LEVEL 3: 350 sek- two Physical cds sent in the post
- LEVEL 4: 450 sek- two physical cds + designer ‘Borrowed, not stolen’ tote bag and pencil sent specially to you in the post
- LEVEL 5: 600 sek two physical cds + designer ‘Borrowed, not stolen’ tote bag and pencil sent to you in the post + a digital pdf file of all of the folk arrangements that appear on the cd.
