2017 ITASA East Coast Conference: Intertrak
The Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Students Association (ITASA) is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to connect, inspire, and empower Taiwanese American students across the country. Since 1993, ITASA East Coast Conference is hosted at various universities annually. Each year, ECC attracts over 300 active community leaders who care about their culture and professional development. During this three-day conference, attendees will be able to participate in workshops led by prominent speakers, enjoy fun social events to interact with other undergraduates, and join small groups for reflection.
Life is a long journey, and along the journey we meet and interact with passersby and people who become our lifelong friends. Inspired by the Amtrak train system, the name of the 2017 East Coast Conference is Intertrak. Intertrak is a train that is speeding through a series of workshops covering culture, personal and career developments. Intertrak invites passengers who identify with or are interested in Taiwanese American and Asian American culture. Boarding on Intertrak, we hope passengers connect with each other on a deeper level and build lifelong networks with like-minded individuals. To achieve this goal, we sincerely ask for your support!
Our team consists of passionate group leaders and conference staff who are working on a pro bono basis. However, our conference requires funding to cover programming and operational costs, workshop venue expense, marketing materials etc. Importantly, our team also tries our best to provide ticket subsidies to students with financial needs.
To successfully host this conference, we sincerely ask for your generous support. The conference's estimated cost is $36,000, and our $3000 Indiegogo is our first milestone to reach. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; All amount of donation is tax-deductible.
