Its a unique deck of cards designed by kinetic artist and designer, Dale Mathis. These 1st of its kind 3D Metal Card decks transform into functional fine art when not in use. The card decks back design is reliefed in metal with functioning gears.
Why?
Almost everyone on Earth has a deck of cards laying around their house or office. Its usually in a drawer full of stuff. When friends come over and want to play cards you end up shuffling through that drawer of stuff looking for those card decks. With the Dale Mathis 3D playing card deck you simply place the card deck in its mechanical frame and now the card deck instantly becomes fine art. Flip a switch on the frame and now your card deck becomes animated, flip another switch and now your kinetic fine art 3D card deck and frame illuminates in your choice of light colors. If your a card collector, the 3D card deck's uniqueness adds value to your collection.
How does it work?
Each limited edition card deck comes with a stainless steel playing card inside its tuck box. When the 3D card deck is placed in your choice of mechanical frame, it then becomes magnetized to the frame back. By flipping a switch on the back of the mechanical frame, the gears in the 3D card deck begin to animate. There are 4 choices of mechanical frames to choose from and 3 deck design options. Who we are?
My name is Dale Mathis, my designs have elements of science fiction and elegance. I’d like to think that my designs make people think but they also make people smile, no matter if they like them or not. Me and my team of fabricators have been designing and fabricating all sorts of contraptions for close to a decade now from my studios in Las Vegas and the Philippines. My works can be seen around the world in finest art galleries.
A few of my principal collectors and corporate collections include, but not limited to, The Prince of Qatar; Damon Wayans; Criss Angel; Teller (of Penn and Teller); Sunrise Children’s Hospital; and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Additionally, my designs and artwork resides in galleries and private collections around the United States as well as in London, Italy, France, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, Philippines, Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Qatar, Dubai, Japan, China, India and Mexico.
My designs are usually acquired by the 1% of society. I created this deck of cards to give the 99% a chance at an entry level original Dale Mathis piece.
