Short Summary
A witch casts a spell upon a man, forcing him to question his path towards what is true success; money or happiness?
50FPS is a story based on selfish desire for wealth, and the lack of passion for a young man’s altered vision on what is success. The distance between success and happiness begins to arise when a young man faces a choice of carrying on with his typical day to day job or pursuing his lifelong dream; music. His greed overbears his judgement and as a result enters a world of slow motion, hence the technical aspect of filming in slow motion - 50 Frames Per Second.
About Us
We are a group of 4 aspiring filmmakers at the University of Sussex, aiming to create a film for our final project this year. We tell our story through the use of visuals and the technicality of film to show a creative way of how consequences can arise from not pursuing your lifelong dream. To fund a short student film, it requires props and set design and with your help, we can make this vision possible.

"Hello I'm Laurence Plevin, writer and director of 50fps. As a filmmaker, I feel like it's important to reflect on your own personal experiences. The themes incorporated in 50fps can be relevant to everyone and I hope that it will not only brighten part of your day, but you will take something away from it."
Producer & Set Designer: Kat Canoy

"All good ideas take time, which is why it takes so long. Being the producer of 50fps motivates me to be organised with my time management and encourages me to support the team's needs and bring our vision to life. Alongside this, I'm excited to bring the 50fps set to life through costume, props and set design."
Director of Photography: Pablo Santana

"As the director of photography I have a unique job; visually portraying the themes of 50fps using my own creative style. Alongside the director, I want to bring the script to life to create an aesthetically pleasing film."
Editor & Sound Designer: Callum Sexton

"Film is a great tool to play with human emotions and thoughts. As the editor of 50fps, I want to encapsulate our characters' emotions and the message behind our narrative, through the use of the technical aspects in post-production."
What We Need
In order to get this film going, we are hoping to raise £350 so that we can create and facilitate our film. Every donation will contribute to the making of this project so we would be more than grateful for your donations.
Other Ways You Can Help
We want to thank all of you for taking the time to take interest in 50fps. Without your support, our film isn't possible. We understand that not everyone can contribute, but that doesn't mean you can't help!
