Our Story
Local beauty supply stores have a longstanding presence in African American communities as the primary source of hair, hair products and tools for our women and men. For years, these shopping experiences have been a point of frustration for customers like myself, due to the service experience and being unable to obtain needed advice on products, protective styling options or caring for my natural hair. In addition, black women are the primary consumers of hair extensions and hair care products, yet representation as owners is almost nonexistent with less than 5% of beauty supply stores in the US being black-owned.
After discovering these sentiments were shared by friends, family, and colleagues, my husband and I realized we could complain and continue to accept this as the norm or be a solution to these issues and drive change within this industry by creating a space that provides the shopping experience so many women are seeking. Thus, Eloure Beauty Supply was birthed!
Eloure Beauty Supply will redefine the beauty supply shopping experience by creating a luxurious, modern, chic & fun storefront with knowledgeable beauty advisors dedicated to personalizing the shopping experience for each person that walks through our doors. We will also partner with local hair and beauty experts to host monthly in-store events/workshops. These events will provide customers with the education and resources necessary to better understand their hair, hair products and feel empowered in making informed hair and beauty selections. It will also offer a sense of community where women feel safe to ask questions, learn and receive trusted advice and tips for proper haircare, which is missing from our current shopping options.
Community Impact
Eloure is more than a beauty supply store. Beyond elevating the beauty supply shopping experience and increasing representation of African American ownership in this space, we will also be active in creating and supporting initiatives geared toward the advancement of our local community. We will provide employment opportunities, use our platform to showcase local minority-owned beauty brands, and give back via donation drives and scholarship opportunities.

Meet our Founders Jamicia & Demetrius Grigsby
Jamicia and Demetrius are college sweethearts, meeting as freshmen on the campus of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) in 2007. They married in 2015 and began their life together in Tampa, FL where Jamicia worked as a pharmacist and Demetrius as an accountant. The following year they relocated to Jamicia’s hometown of Jacksonville, FL where they planted their roots and began to grow their family. They have 2 beautiful daughters Nia and Nyjah. Apart from Eloure, as a family they enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants (trying to get the kids to eat more than chicken nuggets lol) and taking on new adventures to create lasting memories.
Funds from the campaign will assist with:
• Employing talent in the local community to provide staffing for the store
• Store build out and renovations
• IT and marketing expenses
• Product inventory (mass distributed brands + local, independent brands)
Please become involved in our movement and support. We can't wait to open our doors for you!
