A few short months ago, we came to you with a script and some moxie and asked you help us make a film. We came asking for a hunk of cash, and came away with a little less than we'd hoped. It happens. Despite the odds, we have a finished film in the can — finished, that is, except for the score and the sound mix. That's where you come in! We need a last little push to get this film into your hands. The film is done. The score is even done. We just need to pay the guy.
What We Need
We need finishing funds. The score is written and it's good. So good. But the bill for that is due and there's still the mix-down to consider, and we've got someone doing a bang-up job on foley and sound design.
Why It Matters
Sound is 50% of your film. We got great shots and great performances and all we need to round it out is a compelling score and the right sound design to pull it all together.
Imagine Star Wars without Darth Vader's breathing, or Jaws without the music. Sound matters, and it matters here a lot.
How Close Are You?
We're all-but done! Seriously. The final cut is locked, except for one or two stock footage inserts, and the score is already written. We're very grateful to our composer, Justin Ecklond, who agreed to work on contingency on this little film of ours and we want to honor his commitment by paying him the very reasonable fee he asked for. Add to that Diana Chica who is doing both foley and our sound design and final mix-down and we got a steal here.
