Short Summary
“A Fire Within” is a short film which deals with Human Trafficking and Homelessness.
It’s a dark drama charting the lives of
two young girls, brought together by fate as they both run from the horrors of
their lives, one a trafficking gang, the other her past. Will they escape from
the nightmare they find themselves in, or will they like so many others, find
themselves victims of the streets?
The story explores this relationship between
the girls and how human emotion and acts of kindness can transcend the barriers
of language. It’s a story about kindness, hope and friendship trying to overcome fear.
We feel it’s important that this film gets made, as we really believe in it,
as it shines light on several social issues which we feel don’t get enough
attention from the national media. Human
trafficking is making its way into the public consciousness, slowly, but we feel
homelessness and addiction get swept under the carpet. We hope to raise
awareness not just that they exist. But to show the human cost and the
emotional scars in which those affected have to bare. Revealing the stories of the victims and showing they are not just some statistic.
To make this film we need your help and money. Anything you can
provide is greatly appreciated, and if you can’t afford to make a cash contribution, then your help in
spreading the word by sharing on social media is also vitally important. The
wider the audience we reach, the more chance we have of reaching our target.
We have only 30-days to make our target or this film cannot be made!
What We Need & What You Get
We have invested a lot of our own money
into the film but have fell short in the amount needed to make the film to the
standard it deserves and for the audience it has to reach. We have met the
costs of cast and crew and also camera equipment. But we need your help getting
over the finishing line with costs in production like the hiring of lights, transport,
art department, catering, and costs in post-production like editing, colouring,
post sound and mixing.
Please
check the PERK column to the right, to see what is on offer for your
contribution.
For just £10 you can receive a full HD digital download of
the film, your name in the credits and a thank you on all our social media
platforms.
We need your help to produce this film and for it to find its
audience.
