The Why

2020 was a hard year, and that's an understatement. Full of loss, pain, mourning. This year left me searching for comfort, for hope, for peace. It left me grasping at thin air as everything I tried to hold onto slipped through my fingers. If 2020 taught me anything, it taught me that Christ is the only one who won't slip from my reach. As I learned this, I found myself singing. I found myself singing simple words and melodies that I feel the Lord gave me to sing over myself and over loved ones as we walked through this year. 

On New Years Eve, my friends and I shared songs that got us through the year. I sat astounded, and teary eyed as my friend began by playing a voice memo I sent her, and said that this was the song that got her through 2020. My awe continued as another one of my friends got emotional, saying that this should be on an album. This sparked in me a vision and motivation to be able to share these songs, in the hopes that they would then impact even more humans.

The How

I am so incredibly excited and honored to be working with Jonny + Jordan Maillet on this project. The amount of talent and anointing they hold is unmatched. I sat with them a few nights ago as I shared my vision for this project. I told them that I wanted to keep it a secret, and be able to surprise people one day when this EP is available to stream. They encouraged me to allow people into the process, and to allow people who are surrounding me to partner with me financially in what God is doing. 

The goal is to raise $4000 for this project. Your donation will go directly towards one or multiple of the following:

• 5 song EP, professionally recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, and ready for streaming 
• Marketing, copyrighting, branding
• Physical albums

The Impact

This project is near and dear to my heart because these words and melodies have been raw cries of my heart throughout a year that left a lot of us feeling lost and hopeless. My prayer is that you would experience the fullness and tangible presence of Christ and allow these words and melodies to wash over you.
