Hi, y'all.
My name is Angie Atkinson, and I'm a Southern-bred, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter. In the fall of 2009, my man done me wrong, so I moved to New York City to get a fresh start. After about three years of crying, searching, starving, and falling in and out of love half a dozen times or so, I found myself turning my stories into songs and singing them in clubs throughout the city.
Some people might call my music country rock, but I prefer to think of myself as an
urban cowgirl. Whatever the moniker, I definitely took some Southern fried realness with me when I migrated to The Big Apple. And when I hit that stage I can't help but bare my soul (and a little skin...it's hot under them lights, y'all).
I want to share my music with more than just the people who hang with us at our
live shows in NYC. And my fans agree!
One fan shared, "...in the future, I imagine that I'll find myself seated in a random bar
eating stale peanuts and crying into my beer, only to be consoled by one
of your songs."

Through
Indiegogo I was able to to fund the recording of my debut EP
Double Or Nothin'
in the summer of 2012. Now I've got two more years worth of stories to tell. And you can help me and the band get 'er done!
What You Give
The goal for this campaign is to fund the whole album from top to bottom. Your donations will be used for:
- Recording studio fees
- Musician fees
- Mixing and mastering
- Digital distribution
- Reproductions of the album (CDs and vinyl!)
- Photography/artwork and graphic design for the album
- Advertising and promotion of the album
...and if we have any left over, I might buy some sandwiches for the guys in the band.
