Hi! I'm Anna.
I'm an outdoor educator, gardener, dancer and goofy person living in Berkeley, CA. Along with those descriptors, music adds color to all I do. My first composition was entitled "Bully Cars." I wrote that one at age 3 from my car seat. Inspiration hits when it hits.
Growing up on an apple orchard in Oregon, as a child I was intrinsically connected to the rhythms of the earth. Song writing has helped me reconnect to that healing heart beat. As a young adult on a journey filled with growing pains, being able to pray through music has held me through my darkest times. Sitting in silence with the earth and feeling a song coalesce has become a joyful medicine.
And there are infinite songs to be caught in this vibrating world! I am blessed to spend my days outside in the hills where my inner experiences are reflected back to me in puddles, trees, and the faces of the children I work with.
Through playing with some incredible Bay Area musicians, I have re-discovered my love of performing and sharing my songs. My next step towards doing this more is to record my music. This way I can...
1. Reach out to venues with something for them to listen to
2. Work towards my first ever album
3. And SHARE with you! If you make a donation, I will contact you directly with a thank you and your very own copy of my EP.
I am asking for $800 to simply and beautifully record a handful of my favorite songs I have written. Thank you for any support you have given me and might be able to give. If donating money isn't the best way to support me at this time, I encourage you to please share this campaign with others if you are so moved. :)
