A Message from Danny Bacher
Hi, everyone! If you’re on the receiving end of this communication, you may already know me, but to make a quick introduction: I’m a NY-based jazz vocalist and saxophonist, praised by the NY Times as “a prodigiously talented musical preservationist...making hot music but staying cool,” and by Broadway World as having “…the performance ease of an artist who’s spent twice his years on the circuit” with a “preternatural feel for swing.” My first album, “Swing That Music!,” an homage to the music of Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, and Louis Jordan, was short-listed for the 2016 Grammy ballot and was praised by JAZZIZ Magazine as “invigorating…Bacher’s tenor vocals provide a sturdy vehicle for the music, and he pulls plenty of fire from his sax.” To learn more about my background and work, and to hear tracks from “Swing That Music,” you can visit my website at www.dannybachermusic.com.
I’m now hard at work on my next album, “Still Happy,” which will explore the lighter, joy-filled side of jazz, at a time when we desperately need it! As ever, mounting a full studio production is a costly undertaking, and so I’m asking for your help. Below is a breakdown of how your funds will be used:
And in addition to helping this project take wing, you’ll be eligible for some wonderful rewards:
$5 donation: a warm thanks, plus one free download from my forthcoming album!
$25: 5 free downloads
$50: a signed copy of “Still Happy”
$100: signed copies of both “Swing That Music” and “Still Happy”
$500: signed copies of both “Swing That Music” and “Still Happy,” plus a special thank-you in the liner notes
$1000: a one-hour private performance by yours truly
$5000: a two-hour private performance, an original song written in your honor, and executive producer credit
So please give whatever you can – and if you can’t donate, please support this endeavor by spreading the word to your friends and fellow jazz-lovers! Many thanks, and I’ll see you from the stage!
With much love and gratitude,
Danny Bacher
