Short Summary

We are GROOV3, a high-energy dance class that is making choreographed dance accessible to the masses. Our mission is to inspire change, and build a global community through the power of dance. 

What started out as just a fun dance class once a week has now turned into one of the largest dance fitness communities in Los Angeles... and we are starting to spread throughout the country (and world).

GROOV3 is more than just calorie-burning; its a confidence-building, stress-reducing, mentally stimulating, full body experience. 

We've become an extensive family, but we truly believe that you can't have a community without an official hub! 

We are embarking on the biggest endeavor to date: taking on our very own community space that will encompass everything from classes, events, trainings, movie nights, shows, and filming (lots of) content. This is a once in a life time opportunity for us to really begin to build out more programming, and connect more people locally and worldwide! 

Located on the border of Culver City and Playa Vista, your contributions will help build the foundation for what will be, without a doubt, the most special place for all things DANCE. 

What We Need & What You Get

We want to create an environment that can not only be fully customizable for classes, shoots, events, and shows, but we want to set the tone for a dance space the way WE want it.

In order to create all this, we need FLOORS, MIRRORS, SOUND, and LIGHTING. As you can imagine, these components are not inexpensive, but it will benefit everyone. 

To build the studio space we envision, cost would be an excess $60,000!  However, we are going to you, the community, to help raise $25,000. This amount will enable us to purchase and install the initial items we need, so we can open our doors as soon as possible (floors -$11k, sound - $5k, lighting - $5k, mirrors - $2,500, locker/lounge area - $1,500). *These prices include equipment and labor.

We've designed some great perks for you: imagine getting free classes for one month, or even one year (depending on your donation amount). You would spend that money anyway, so why not contribute to this campaign? 

If we don't reach our full goal, any money raised will go towards the base cost of items. Maybe we'll only be able to start with the necessary basics (floors, mirrors, and sound), and will have to wait until we can raise more money for lighting and a locker/lounge area.

The Impact

There are lots of ways we could have gone about getting capital for this project, but we truly believe the new space will benefit the community: we wanted all of you to personally feel like you had a hand in laying the groundwork for this epic new spot. 

Because the space was previously used for film production, this will enable us to quickly start filming various creative content for all the GROOV3RS around the world to benefit from. 

Imagine how awesome it will be for us to stream classes live! We even have some new concepts we will be experimenting with which could literally change the dance fitness business. Sounds exciting, right?!

Risks & Challenges

This is a HUGE space (3,600sq. ft.), and a huge responsibility! We will need to increase our staff, and our overhead has nearly doubled. Scared? YES! Extremely excited? HECK YES! 

We have gotten this far because of the love and support from all of you, and we truly believe we are creating something that will continue to further our mission of changing lives and creating a GLOBAL community through the power of dance. 

We have a great team in place that's ready for action, and have set up a solid plan for success over the next 6-12 months. We are ready for challenges and excited to take this on.  We just need you!
